Don't care what the context....the lovely Halle is always welcome.

Couldn't watch it, just listened to the delayed commentary on the web site.

Is it easier for any oposition to score goals against the run of play? #PepOut

Anyway, the young lads have a brilliant future ahead.

Might be the shittest penalty shootout in existence.

Pep made some weird decisions in this. Why's he playing Phillips cb? He's never going to play there for us and it deprives an actual cb from playing. Haaland, why is he still only getting 45 minutes? He's had a full pre-season he should be as fit as anybody now, kovacic has just come back and even he got 60 minutes, is he secretly nursing some knock? When he did come off, why are we putting mcatee as the false 9? It's not his position, we want to see him play as the 10 as much as possible to see what he's got if he's to break through this season. Just bizarre choices.

For the third game in a row, Doyle despite getting just half hour looked by far the most accomplished of the kids and realistically the only one that has any shot of being involved in any meaningful way with the squad next season if he isn't shipped out on another loan. I think he could prove useful, like to see him stay with us at least until January.

Gvardiol looked rusty but expected for his first start, unreal assist. Kovacic seemed to do a Benjamin button, looked really rusty from the off but got fitter and sharper second half, that run for the second was fantastic.

Grealish was disappointing overall but he took his goal incredibly well.as meaningless as it is, him getting a goal could really do something for him, lets see whether we get more from him in the last game.

Rico Lewis has played 3 full 90 minutes in 10 days, kid must be fucked.

Phillips gets through 90 minutes out of position and puts in a more than respectable shift then misses a pen, zero value to it but when the lads confidence is as shattered as his, that's the last thing he needs.

Don't think he played badly tonight. I don't even think he's as bad as people on here say. Am I on my own thinking this? Tell me I'm not on my own here ...
You're not.

He was showing good signs in the Milan game, and I'm sure Pep came up with the plan for him for this game after watching his long range passing against Milan. He was very clearly tasked with getting the ball out to wingers in attacking position today which he did successfully throughout the game, and his defensive play was just as solid.

I wouldn't have any criticism of his play today, other than maybe the penalty which was a bit flat, but I don't think anyone was well prepared for that shootout, and fairplay for him stepping up to take the first one. Kudos to Fatah for his pen.

Even if he is not making cut to the team for when the seasons officially begins, i hope Philips will use this games performance to whatever club he is going to this summer.

Improvement again from the second game and a draw (pens mean fuck all) despite it being city v barca C teams

As I say, the pens mean fuck all.. just the American way of deciding a match as they don’t understand football.. but ffs we are so shit at taking and saving pens. You may as well as put a sack of spuds in goal and pushed it over.. it would have got closer to some of them than Ortega did

As a natural attacking midfielder, I think O’Reilly played very well in that DM role. More than ready physically, good in tight spaces and his passing was also good. Very interesting to see that Pep prefer him over Susoho and Wright in that DM role, when both of them are natural DMs

Same here. Put him in the same role for the Chelsea *friendly*, and the Shield, then see where we go from there.
