He’s almost 5 years younger than James Milner who played in midfield for an excellent Brighton team at the weekend, alongside Danny Welbeck, who’s the same age and scored their second goal, he’s almost 3 years younger than JFE who started for the rags last week.
Other players who started last week who are older than Gundo include, Ben Mee, Idrissa Gueye, Michael Antonio, and Craig Dawson.
He’s 8 years younger than Pepe who played for Portugal in the Euros, he’d be 20th on a list of oldest players in Spain and, as someone has already posted, he’s 6 years younger than Modric,
I think there’s plenty of miles left in Gundo yet particularly given the fact that speed and/or physicality have never been a part of his game.

Danny Welbeck has been 35 for 37 years now.
 
What happened to that young lad at nytid Jose’s Lungard or summat?
We should make a bid for him maybe rather than pick a player up for free who loves the club, the fans and the boss.
Unless he agrees to come back on the proviso that he is a squad player with a voice in the dressing room and to alleviate the pressure on the likes of Godri then it’s a no from me. ;)

Saving Kalvins wages will pay for most of Gundog and.....if there had been a touch more give & take Gundog wouldn't have left.

He wanted to stay on a 2 year deal, City wanted him to stay on a 1 year deal.

I believe that a 'compromise' was proposed by which time Gundo had given his word to Barca & rightly wouldn't give back word.

Hopefully alls well that ends well for both parties !!

Wanted a different challenge and culture, as did his Mrs - some might even say that Barcelona is a nicer city than Manchester

He just played for one of the best countries in the Euros

He was in the La Liga team of the season

We don’t need him to play every game, 90 minutes - but you don’t think he could change a game?

He is an incredible character, apparently well like by everyone in the squad and on the staff

No transfer fee

He adds to a thin squad, even more strained by the injury to Bobb

He can play defensive mid, attacking mid, false 9
