PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think Arsenal fans are feeling the pressure. I just received this, first bit of contact I’ve had since 26th May…..

It’s a grown man, in his 50s & decent business yet thick as fuck.

Ask this dick for brains if the police came to his house, arrested him and charged him with a serious offence (of which he was innocent) - would he plead guilty and face imprisonment to save the taxpayer a few quid. Of course he wouldn’t he’d plead not guilty and defend himself.

I've been in Madrid, Girona and finally Platja d'Oro this summer.

The latter is not an English resort, mainly French and Dutch.

So many City shirts on show, mainly kids and mainly French and people who also support Barcelona or Girona.

Even in Madrid, saw a few.
As you know we are in the South of Spain but good to see you enjoying your special birthday Spanish Tour.
Even here they are mainly Barca but quite a few RM supporters as well.
City are admired here and the RM lads I know really do watch City and the way they have developed (probably they fear City).

I wouldn't waste my time conversing with him about it.
I used to get into heated discussions with utd supporting mates,I realised I was wasting my time trying to persuade people who had already made their simple minds up.

I keep it brief as last May I tried to educate him but like most, they don’t know the difference between FA & Prem or UAE & Qatar so once you try & discuss the finer points it’s useless & brings about City bingo in stereo.

Reading the various posts related to the charges it is clear to see the damage that has been done regardless of the outcome. Everyone outside of the club and fans believe we are guilty regardless of what argument is put in front of them.

Like many on here I have encountered a wide range of fans who have quoted City bingo at me but when presented with facts refuse to listen. I had some doddering old Wolves fan muttering away at me on holiday, I have caught my local corner shop owner( a Villa fan) spitting bile to another fan and had to intervene and defend the club. I had a Norwegian (former) friend (Liverpool fan surprise surprise) quoting absolute bullshit during the UEFA / CAS case who I had to straight. I’ll be honest it really pisses me off that these stupid people can throw shit at me for the club I have supported all my life, like I have done something against them and their chosen club.

The people behind bringing these charges and those in the media presenting speculation as facts need challenging once we are cleared of any wrongdoing. There has to be some accountability for spouting thinly veiled hatred without any real facts. I doubt any retribution will occur but god would I love to see some metaphorical slapping by City.

We take all the flak from the brain dead’s out in the real world where I continually say ‘allegedly’ to everything they spout and constantly say what exactly have City’s fans done wrong in all this?

The only thing they will get us on and they will claim a "moral" victory.

I would love us to fight that if we are found guilty but I think we would take it.
Found Not guilty in bringing our library books back late but done for non cooperation as we ignored the 23 reminder emails and responded to the 24th saying we had just dropped them off in the drive through book drop off and we hope it’s pissing down when they go and empty it.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to undo brain-washing, even if we are exhonourated.

Any Arsenal fan who thinks refs favour us more than they did United when Ferguson was manager needs to sit down and watch the game that ended their 49 match unbeaten run again.

Enjoy their pain. We deserve our success - whatever they say, our fans are the real deal. Remember our first game in the old 3rd division- must have been over 30k singing & we were only playing someone like Blackpool I think it was?

Great post.

I think that it is now generally acknowledged that the whole purpose of these charges was to launch a systematic, cartel-led and media driven campaign to destroy our reputation as a football Club (ie Man City, fucking bunch of dirty arab oil cheat bastards) in parallel with denigrating our incredible achievements (ie it's not that we have the best coach and players playing the best football, or that the cartel clubs are utterly shit on and off the field, it's just because of those same dirty cheating arab oil bastards that this happened).

Obviously should they be successful, this would clear the field for the total domination of the premier league by the US-owned cartel clubs, who would then be left to do with football whatever they please.

But rather than playing victims to this, we need to be launching a sustained and high profile campaign that effectively counters both of these objectives. We should be hiring the same calibre specialists in the field of PR, marketing, brand management and promotion as we have done in the legal field, with the sole purpose of utterly destroying the impact that the cartel campaign has had so far and will continue unabated until we act.

This is a strategic approach and one that should be planned for 12-24 months, starting immediately and going into absolute overdrive as and when the outcome of these bullshit charges is announced. Naturally it sits alongside the work that will be needed on the legal side as well as maintaining excellence in all our on and off-field activities.

And keeping Pep for another 3-5 years or so will be absolutely critical.

It was Blackpool & a nice sunny day if I remember.

What social media has taught us is that the stupid are everywhere and the simple fact is you cant fix stupid, the best thing to do is keep your council and the moronic will just yammer on and on and burn themselves out, the problem with the stupid is that they dont know they are stupid so arguing with them is pointless and they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience because you will become so exasperated by the fact you have to waste your oxygen putting them right you will just give up because you have the sense to do so and they will assume that is a tacit win because they know no better.

Do your mental health and energy reserves a favour and just say aww bless its a shame you're so angry and move along it annoys them so much more.
