If anyone there today can take some pictures inside that be great , would have gone but needed a match ticket

Victoria ( Now mini market/ tesco extra?)
Townley (Still open) Crossroads/Manchester Arms (demolished) Mary Ds (still open) , Cornershop (still open) Summerbees Bar (demolished) Bank of england
( been closed empty for years),
Mitchell Arms ( currently being refurbished, but not sure if a pub/bar) Bradford Inn (still.open). The Stadium/Cricketers ( converted to curry house ,then demolished)
How many were run into the ground by lovable rogues? How has Mary D’s managed to escape?
 
There doesn’t look like there’s anywhere to put your pint, unless you’re one of the first few in.
 
Yup, in the 70's 80's even 90's going to the pub at lunchtimes was common and almost universal on a Friday. I worked near the Shepherd's Boy in Oldham for a while and they used to do food on a Friday. The place was always busy. Sadly it closed in 2021, Covid finished it off.
Good little pub the Shep. I used to go in the 70s with my mate Alan Taylor. He sadly is no longer with us. Fond memories of our times in there and on the Kippax

Looks like there's no point in bothering now. Queues, no Asahi.

It is a test event so the beer shouldn't run out at the next home match
