Brentford (H) - PL | Post Match Thread

Good game.

Credit to Brentford for coming and having a go, unlike the vast majority of teams who just park the bus.

The coach wreckers getting beat was a plus.
Against a team in sky blue!!

Brentford played really well. Congrats to them. Haaland and Ederson were amazing. Savinho showing (once again) that he will ve a great asset, KDB with some great passing, and Rodri and Gvardiol putting tve match in order once they got subbed in.

Leaders, and Foden hasn't even played. What a team.
Bobb too.....

We might not have a harder home game all season, always a fucking scrap with Brentford. Defence looked really shaky today, Stones in particular. Erling looks like he could beat his first seasons total the way he's started, what a beast
Stones was 1st half cup final Stones today, and was still better than Walker

Some keystone cops defending from City first half . Always in control after going 2-1 up though . All about getting the 3pts after the international break job done !

Full credit to Brentford who were amazing in that first 10-15 mins. We eventually got on top as you'd expect and probably should have won about 4-1 in the end but they hung on and nearly nicked something. As for us, we responded well after a weird start - Haaland and Ederson in particular were amazing. Haaland is reaching unbelievable levels that I've never seen before. He's in for some season if he stays fit.

Just Watched the highlights from Klanfield, I swear I heard a pin drop in the second half
That can't be true. Anfield is always a cauldron of noise and passion. Just as the lying bastatrd football media in this country.

Excellent result where Brentford were certainly no pushovers and 1st half caused us plenty of problems. Second half we stepped up and a combination of poor finishing and good saves from the keeper ensured we didn't add to our goal tally. Job done and 4 wins, out of 4, top of the League and happy days.

Three points, a very hard earned three points. I thought they were excellent, especially their keeper both with his hands and his distribution. They worked it out nicely from the back.
We looked half asleep for the first 10 mins and they could easily have scored another.
We had a much better second half with the introduction of Rodri and Gvardiol, they brought much needed control and composure. keV looked knackered at about 60 mins. After playing twice for Belgium it's going to tough for him to recover for Inter and the arse next weekend.

One thing I'll add, we better not get used to going one down, like we saw with the dippers last season you can't rely on comebacks every week because it doesn't last.

We got away with it today in some ways - I thought they were a good team, well coached and worked hard.

In the end Haaland was the difference

On the positive we got match fitness into Walker, Stones and to some degree Rodri & Gundo.

So a better result than performance overall is my verdict today
