PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I guess it sounds more credible than ‘completely made up’.

Not to mention, I dont know how they could even enforce that. The Premier League surely has no jurisdiction over points deductions in other divisions so we couldn't have multiple points deductions.

In fact, the Leicester appeal being successful sets legal precedent for this not being an option.

Once again, it's just fantasy and conjecture from other teams.

I'm not really thinking about fans of rival clubs as they don't matter but more about the club brand. Currently it's a constant stream of negativity aimed at us and I'd like to see a response (unofficially of course) to at least push back.against it.
thats not answering the question tho, what would it change? If people have made up their minds us pushing back wont change that and in terms of the clubs brand, we were the most watched club across the world last year, we had record breaking crowds at our pre season friendlies, our last 3 shirts have sold in record breaking numbers, i think the club brand is doing okay to be fair.

Had a largely social media free past few days, but now I'm back in the office and back to it. Just listened to Pep's comments and he really stuck it to them, I fucking love that bald fraud. The BBC finally publish the 115 charges in detail, so maybe people will realise now it's a group of charges multiplied over several years.

Hopefully things conclude quickly. I can't see it being any different to CAS in terms of there being a general suspicion and motive to punish us but in legal terms there being insufficient evidence to successfully conclude we have done anything to break the rules. Lack of cooperation is always likely to bring some sort of charge, but presumably a fine as opposed to points deduction.

We'll see.

The negativity will stop when we stop winning the league regularly and not a second sooner. Personally don’t think we can do much if anything about it.

No it won't I agree. What it would do if the club put some things out is even things up a bit as it seems like our board are content to take all the shite thrown at us without responding.

We tried to get this all to play out behind closed doors to avoid the noise from the media and other clubs, but weren't successful. There's no point busying ourselves with worrying what other people are saying, the best way to answer them is to win this case and then we can release a really punchy statement. I cannot wait for Pep's conference when that result is announced. He is going to unleash an absolute torrent.

people dont hate the none successful as they are not seen as a threat unless they are part of the red cartel and in that case success has nothing to do with it they are just arseholes.

Spot on this

The outcome needs to be one where they (the cartel) are rendered absolutely impotent.

They cannot be left n a position where they can continue onto 'next steps' - as they will with further changes targeted at us and specifically at our owners
"Once and for all"

When this is done, it will be the final penny dropped.

City are the masters of the Universe.

That would only be the start. A permanent stain rubber stamped on the club in the history books, lawsuits in excess of £200m, commercial partners withdrawing support, future players not wanting to damage their own brands, an owner who would not pass the stricter fit and proper persons test.

To be clear, this is a fight between life or footballing purgatory.

Which is why they can't win and we won't lose.
Pretty much sums it up in my opinion, people should make no mistakes this is an existential threat to the club, it's an attempt to destroy the club and the brand, if they win that's it for the club moving forward and that's why they won't win (crosses fingers and all that because one never knows but the mood music from the club has always been pretty upbeat and we could just be going through the motions )

Do you think so? I reckon he'll just wink and say "told ya"
