You may have a certain bias. I haven't seen it to be fair but everyone I know who did see it were very complimentary.

The film I've probably been looking forward to most this year and boy oh boy did it not disappoint, absolutely mental.

It's basically soft core porn for the first hour but after that it's gets batshit crazy

Gave it 4.5/5 on letterboxd

It’s like a mash-up of the old Mike Leigh play Abigail’s Party, In Bruges, and The Wicker Man.

Definitely worth a look.

Oh my god what have I just watched? Bloody bonkers. Visually beautiful and fun in parts, but my is it weird. I'm no prude either, but I thought the amount of sex in it spoilt it somewhat.
Still can't decide if I liked it or not.

Oh my god what have I just watched? Bloody bonkers. Visually beautiful and fun in parts, but my is it weird. I'm no prude either, but I thought the amount of sex in it spoilt it somewhat.
Still can't decide if I liked it or not.

Take a wank, post nut clarity is your friend in these situations.

Good filmmaking let down by trying to force the stench of making a film that appeals to 20 somethings rather than make a high quality thriller that appeals to all ages. Almost a remake of the original (not a bad thing) but the actors are so poor and I just wished the Xenomorph would munch the fucking lot of them.

The edit was so poor, one massive plot line just sprang out of nowhere despite never being mentioned previously.

I did however enjoy the thrilling aspects, but the lack of lore progression just made it a jump scare load of shite

Wasn't bad, considering. I'd give it 6.5/10 but I've marked it lowish because it's hard not to compare to the earlier films
