Pre-Match at the Co-op Live

The music in the bar at the back of SSL1 is loud. But there aren’t many complaints. The DJ, if you can call him that, plays the same tunes all the time. He could do with a bit of variety, unless the club have told him to sit to Manc related tunes, Oasis, the Smiths, and tunes related to City chants.
Prob suits the younger crowd in SS1. Up in the gods it’s more of an older crowd. They have the football on which you can’t hear but seemed a lot louder than usual yesterday. All Oasis etc too.

Abba for you ?

Did anyone try this for the Fulham game? I swerved it due to it taking ages to get a beer at the first event. Was the time taken to get served any better? I'm contemplating trying it again on Wednesday especially if it's going to be raining!

Miles better, they put some seating in and there were hardly any queues

Went for the Fulham game - was better than I expected - they could make it really good

Not a particularly long wait for food or beer

I tried it again, my youngster was keen. Much better - queues were way shorter, you could use the vouchers at any bar, food places were open, seating, could move about upstairs and they turned the lights up. Music was better and quieter, mostly your typical manchester flavour though I suppose. Face-painting crews for the kids was a nice touch though mine's too cool for that stuff nowadays.

Dippers won though on the screens.

In the end its needless controversy, it gives the sports media something to talk about and that's why they have made a big deal out of it, remember they need storys in order to fill their shite web sites

Cool cool, but was there a long queue for beer and did they play mamma mia?
