It’s a very strange force that has kept United to be as bad as they are.

They are not all bad managers.

They are not all bad players.

But something is a toxic mix and all these ex players, speaking to their fan base, non of which accept reality could well be part of that mix.

Not saying Sky put him there to cause issues, but I think it’s part of the problem not solution. So wouldn’t want to see him gone (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it or in this case if it is broken don’t change anything).

Doesn't sound right to me ; if he was talking while quaffing his ale he would have sounded like Bill & Ben the flowerpot men

I think you're right they can't see reality and still expect to be winning because of who they are rather than what they do. A number of their players are vastly overpaid based on what they produce and they aren't and never will be team players. Slabhead is a good example, I believe he said to the greek police ""Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go."
