I don't get these shitty comments. It's his first game back for 10 games, we're all very aware that he's nowhere near fully fit, so what were you expecting exactly?

He's obviously not going to go steaming into a 50/50. Poor sub to make from Pep in hindsight but remember we were winning when he came on. I think the intention was to carry him through 15 minutes in the hope he can put Erling in for a second goal on the break as the pressure mounted.

Could say the same about Foden. No form shown whatsoever from him.
The bar is low, but Foden has been our best player the last few games. KDB has given the ball away for fun and not even looked remotely interested the last two times he's come on.

Foden our best player in the last few games ? Foden hasn't played a good game apart from Sparta Prague all season.

Hahaha. He was brilliant versus Sporting, to the point that even amid all their laughter and spanking us, they gave him credit for being our only good player. I thought he was also very good versus Bournemouth, he was just uncharacteristically off with his finishing.

No indication that the club is considering a contract extension and given his injury record this season and his lack of any form other than before the first international break it's hard to see how it could do so.

Club legend but they all go at some point as time waits for no man. I hope that if he is going he can do so on a high as he definitely doesn't deserve to go out with a whimper.

Always takes a while to comeback from injury. Currently cant play a 4 yard pass. But he tries through balls and that's enough to get me excited.

Was trying to hard to force passes that didnt seem on, but as he's no where up to speed to be expected.

TBH the only player who has the ability to save this season is Kev.

It's not only about playing at a high level, I am talking more about his leadership abilities and I think his presence on the pitch plays a role not only for our players but other ones.

I remember like 2 years ago, KDB shouted at Rodri during the game, when Rodri made mistake. Leicester game if I remember correctly.

We need that Kev right now. Someone needs to push players

But he needs games to regain form, he seemed sharp when season started, I don't think he has aged, but out of form definitely. Hopefully no injuries till the end of the season.

Needs to stay at the Etihad this break and get some fitness. If he travels I will be annoyed. If he gets going just might be able to Salvage the season. Looked miles off it today. Like a month off it.
I wonder if he is up for it, got a lot of miles on the clock. He is going to need to dig deep.

Team Pschologist has his work cut out.

He could not even break stride when he came on, so sad to see.

His body is broken, another that we have to say thank you and goodbye.

start him for spurs, and let his fitness grow in the game, when we were defending a 1-0 yesterday bringing him on for savio was a mistake, and weakened the right side.

Not.Kev fault he has been out so long he is rusty

He is broken, time to move on, he should not be starting games, cameos are his forte now.

The mind is willing the body is not.

He’s not fit and he’s currently playing a bit part in a team that’s playing under the kosh.

Time to turn all the alarms off for a week or two and see where we are, and he is, in 2025.

Yes, he is in the twilight of an exceptional career, but he still has much to offer. However, a virtuoso conductor can’t do much with an orchestra that’s currently playing out of tune.

For the first 35 mins of the Brighton game, we were exceptional and, as has been the case for some time, we simply did not turn dominance of possession and attacking into goals. Kev was not on the field for the “City circa 2023” cameo appearance, but was somehow expected to change a game that was slipping away from us when the “City circa late 2024” was on its heels!

There’s always a chance, and never say never, but he was the least of our concerns in the end. The term “hot knife thru butter” seems to apply to our defence at times, and the inability to get the ball away from the danger area is alarming at times. That isn’t a KDB problem
