PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Funny as fuck brought up by the telegraph, in retaliation to City being awarded damages, in their suing the PL over the APT rules. well it keeps the idiots clicking. Lets look at the first problem, so for example the PL find us guilty of a serious misdemeanor, in the 2014/15 season and dock us 10 points. Which season do they dock the points? this season, next or the 2014/15 season, every club involved in those seasons will claim it should be theirs, or will it be 1 point per-season.
That is the first question, of thousands

He said on here "I doubt only these teams have written to City on this" and on Twitter "I'd be amazed if only 4 teams made a claim for compensation if City found against."

Thanks. Seen his video segment on it as well since, cheers.

Could relegated clubs then sue any club that took points off them and saw them demoted whilst their finances were reliant on ‘unlawful’ and ‘unfair’ shareholder/owner interest free loans?
The possibilities are endless.
The PL rules prevent clubs from suing each other, so I'd guess they'd only be able to apply for compensation, but they'd only be able to do that if the PL charged the shareholder loan club with rule breaches in the first place

I know we’ll be cleared but imagine the mess we could create & boil piss if we were found guilty….

“City you owe clubs £2 billion in legal costs plus compensation”

City: “well as we’re in the NWC Div 1 we’ll go into administration & take another 20 point deduction? Hows your hedge funds?”
the fact the PL gave United a special Covid allowance so they didn’t fail FFP means our legal team should be riding a coach and horses through any ridiculous compensation argument.

nobody's suing anybody. The premier league would implode and it's already eating itself. The ESL is getting more appealing by the day...
They probably just was us to be the founders of it

If I was Richard Masters (and I’m glad I’m not) I’d be begging City to take a cleared of all charges deal, as long as we don’t sue.

If the PL win on any of the charges it opens up an even bigger can of worms.

He must just want to put the genie back in the bottle and for it all to stop.

It isn't in Masters hands though.

I think if we are cleared instead of going through the whole compensation route. The biggest fuck you to everyone would be to blow £500 million on revamping our squad
I hope the club remembers that while scruffy Jim was trying to hitch free lifts off City for a couple of his donkeys to an awards ceremony, they were hoping they could sue us out of existence, and if he ever has the nerve to ask for a ground share they get told to do one.

I think Tevez paid 26 times and Mascherano 16 times in that season so hardly a few but that season had WHU lost just one game it would have been them relegated and not Sheffield Utd. From memory the last game of the season WHU won the last game of the season away to Utd ( they won the league that season ) and Tevez scored the winner !

And who signed those players despite them still being 3rd party owned?

The US clubs are owned by hedge funds….

Forget it, it either went over your head or it’s a shit joke. I’m not fussed which.
How is us going into administration going to affect hedge fund run clubs ? And how would it affect them more than anyone other type of club

All well and good that most of us are convinced we will win this case, but what does Omar know? Can't see the rags serving legals if they didn't get the nod from Omar that there was a chance they could win, hopefully it's a load of made up bullshit, but it does seem weird it's the rags considering a few of ours have jumped ship to them
If he’s told the rags we could be guilty of financial wrongdoing I can’t imagine he’d be in their good books given he would have been the one signing the dodgy sponsorships and the cheques …

yep - and funnily enough there was a seamless 'transfer' to utd following that. hmmmm?

I seem to recall the league allowed United to sign Tevez and Liverpool Mascherano - both on third party ownership deals before pulling the shutters down and outlawing the practice. Another case of the Red cartel setting the rules to suit themselves.

The PL will now be treading very carefully now they have been shown up for an organisation that operates outside English law and acts in bad faith towards its stake holders on behalf of other clubs. I wonder if it’s led them to back off in pathetically trying to hang charges on the club. They have opened up a can of worms that is now going to become every expensive and is difficult for them.
