It is to make the bet look attractive to punters. In reality we canbt be 'relegated' as such as the Premier League cannot order the Championship to take us. We can only be expelled from the PL which is not what they offer.
Fair point. We can if they knock 50 points off us.
Still might not be enough. We can if they knock 50 points off us.
We might not get to 50 points to take off usWe can if they knock 50 points off us.
There’s no way a bookies would keep us at 500/1 with the threat of relegation being there.
If we were to get relegated and there was, say, £50k bet on us getting relegated across the country, they’d owe out £25m. There’s no way they’d take that chance, so they play safe and reduce the odds.
We've been priced fairly short in comparison to how we usually would (and how Liverpool, Arsenal are) since the odds were first released. It's been brought up before quite a bit on this thread, the current prices are very little to do with being backed in - I can't remember exactly what we started out at but from memory it wasn't any bigger than 15/1. So it's possible to some extent we've been backed in from 15s to 9s with various bookies, others still have us 12s, but again they will be adjusting their odds based on risk throughout too.
TL;DR, don't bother with them meantime. A complete red herring. Simply a case of bookmakers weighing up risk/reward accordingly.
150/1 on bet365 might be nice little earner off £20 :-) more chance of them to be relegated than us lolWhat price are the Rags? Genuine question, I fancy a flutter ;)

Haha good one.Relegation. What’s that?
True but did you notice the change in attitude from Jordan??Watched the talksport interview with Stefan yesterday and came away with nothing other than it's still going on, no reflection on Stefan it is what it is.
That'll leave us well above the relegation zone. I can live with that.We can if they knock 50 points off us.

I've checked. Apparently, there's still something called a 'bottom half of the table'..?
Who knew?
And Jordan gets his information from some very strong City-haters so his comments probably reflects the current mood of our enemies. Jordan doesn't want to be on the losing side.True but did you notice the change in attitude from Jordan??
