Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

listening to Pep as to his reasons for signing again is brilliant. Honest assessment from him regarding his ability to keep the group winning and if he lost the players he will leave. Refreshing.

Also noticed by signing this new deal he has put the players on notice. If you ain’t good enough we will replace you was the message. Legends most definitely but time don’t wait and if the performances don’t improve you will be let go especially those over 30.

It’s great to see the boss and club as one. We all love the players but we love the club more and with pep and khaldoon we don’t have mutiny in the ranks like most clubs.

Signings coming unless we start to play at the high level again. Win win for us as fans.

Unfortunately sentimentality has a time limit in football.

Yeah I hope he stays forever is really placid to be fair. The post you quoted was me responding to somebody claiming a poster was being negative by discussing if he will carry out the two years. My initial response was positive that it was two years and it being a good sign for contract renewals and 115. Considering you stalk me then surely you knew that?

It’s great to have some clarity and stability. It is clear that four or five players wrong side of 30 will probably leave next summer, and a handful not far behind. This is a chance to rebuild and leave a lasting legacy, and avoid the mess United got themselves into when Baconface and Gill left together. The 115 charges are a cloud, but I suspect they will be watered down significantly, and the worst will be a points deduction and possibly a year out of the Champions League (boo hoo, not).

That was me pal. Some people on here just pile on when there is a chance.

It was just a scenario playing out in my head and tbh Pep alluded to it today in his press conference by saying he didn’t want the questions all next season about renewing again.

Surely he will get those questions in 26/27? Unless he goes end of 25/26…

Like you I want him to stay forever, but his words today haven’t changed my little doubts!!
 
It is brilliant to have stability for two more seasons, he must really love being here especially as he is away from his wife a lot of the time , he must like that lol

Every media said he would fail here, get sacked in less than a season etc . Well fuck he has shown those dicks up big style

They say we are a lesser club after barca and bayern , have they done a centurians season in their farmers league .pep has done everything to elevate us to be better than anyone else

After all he has done here he would have gone with our love and respect and to the refief of the cartel and the prem , but he clearly fancies another rebuild , is that three or four now ?

As for the charges , i think he likes a battle , hates authority trying to ruin any part of his legacy , i honestly believe if the worst happened and we got a massive points deduction he would stay and get us back to the top again

This thread hasnt disappointed me in that the pretend blues couldnt be happy , very telling

I did like his cheeky smile and knowing eyes when he was questioned. Almost to say, ‘I know that you want us relegated, but that is not happening’.

Got to love Pep, definitely a bloke you’d go for a pint with.
