Seat Counters - 2024/25

It’s mainly to do with the weather. That’s not excuses. It’s the truth. I’ve got Blues dropping out of using our coach because they can’t get out of their front yards.
The weather is completely fine in Manchester now. Grey, but normal.

It rained a bit earlier and there was a medium strength wind for about three hours.

Tell people not to make a drastic decision, they might miss a cracker!

I live in the Philippines and work at sea but usually come to Manchester 2 or 3 times a year to spend a few days with the family before I join a ship. I normally make between 1 to 4 games a season. But I'm not paying 71 quid especially when it's in the cheaper seats. And it's not because I can't afford it ,it's purely out of principle I don't like being taken the piss out of and the club are taking the piss.

Fulham are in West London. There’s a hell of a lot of money there. Plus they have tickets as low as £37 full price for 21-64 year olds.

Leicester’s against Chelsea aren’t as high as ours today against Spurs. Do City think that City think Mancunians are richer than - what is the demonym for people from Leicester?
My lad cant go today, i asked 3 or 4 at work yesterday if they wanted to go,if they did they'd have to pay the £61 upgrade I told them, for his under 18 seasoncard, they all.declined and said no way they'd pay that.

The point Tim and others are making is that we all don't live within Gtr Manchester.

Yes locals could perhaps pick up the slack but, if fans feel a disassociation with the club over a myriad of things they'll not be picking up late ticket.

Do you think, honest question here, that if this kicked off at 3pm we would be having this conversation about exchange (unsold) tickets?

Later kick off, dark & colder
Live on tv
I think this may have put a few people off going today

Regarding the weather, it’s just wet & windy near the ground at the moment.
****edit, you have already mentioned this****

They can’t snap £30 tickets up on the exchange though, that’s the point. So those seats will remain unnecessarily empty.
People who try to sell on the exchange mate should also be on this forum’s ticket page and Daz Clarke’s. Anyone using the Ticket Exchange today are paying twice the going rate for a ticket

I get that and admire your principles but if you only do 1 to 4 games a season why wouldn't you splash out a bit and spoil your self? Go corporate or the tunnel club, make it an occasion.

I agree with you, however a lot of season ticket holders don’t know about these forums etc so will list their tickets on the exchange, and so the club will put those tickets on sale at the extortionate rates and they will go unsold.

Villa got loads of stick for their pricing for Bayern Munich but it sold out. The club want to make money. They aren't bothered about genuine City fans who can't afford the higher prices. It's determined to be a premium game and so they price it high and if half the number of tourists pick up tickets but the prices are over double they've won.

To be balanced, you can get more affordable tickets to less attractive games but a lot of City fans who claim they can't afford to go wouldn't bother with those either. Everyone wants the big games and so they price them high. Just the way the game is now and it's true at most clubs.

I’m guessing the poster was suggesting that any available ticket should be snapped up.
Were building a stand for people who can’t get tickets.

This weather has woken me and i’m sad so i had a look at the other clubs that are at home in this weather which includes the ticket resale/exchange

Leicester : 0 tickets available
Bournemouth : unable to see
Arsenal : 0 tickets available
Villa : 0 tickets available
Everton : 0 tickets available
Fulham : 1 on the ticket resale
City : 200+ according to the poster

Didn’t i read on here that the club claimed at a meeting, this is why they aren’t selling seasoncards in the new stand, due to the anount of games the average seasoncard holders misses (fair enough they put them on the exchange)

I’m on the fence here due to the kick off time, weather and the amout of tickets being single seats, so i can see why some people have given it a miss and the ticket has not been bought but i see no other club has this problem of unsold tickets today apart from us (and maybe Bournenouth)

I’m not having a pop at people not going, i nearly slipped on my arse twice yesterday on the ice here in Blackley a few miles from the ground. Also seen a car accident.
Let’s hope the council have gritted today to keep everyone safe
I’d be astonished if Fulham have sold all their Riverside stand seats for the game against Wolves. I’m registered with Fulham so I can always see the City game even if I can’t get in the away end and am bombarded with emails about seats being available. Some sites only show availability to those eligible to buy, and I suspect some of those clubs you’re looking at have similar spares to City

Slightly off topic mate, have they fully opened the new stand now?
Think i heard the tickets in there were the most expensive in the league

It sold out weeks ago. I listed mine over a week ago and it was sold within minutes. I’ve just put the phone down to my dad who has just listed his 2 because he’s 82 and can barely walk and doesn’t like the weather. There will be literally thousands who can’t attend today for various reasons. The numbers for sale fluctuates hugely on an ongoing basis and the ground will be full come kick off.

Every league game is the same. They just get snapped up quicker for the biggest games. It does my head in that we have to go through this self flagellation before every single home game. We get enough lies about our crowds from opponents.

Until the seat exchange these seats were empty at kick off. Now they aren’t. Seat exchange means that more people get the opportunity to attend games and we have a fuller stadium but there is always a fluctuating float of tickets on sale.

Spot on. There have always been last minute call offs for legitimate reasons and always will be. The seat exchange is doing its job.

Looks like a poor crowd tomorrow, Colin Bell L3 was taken off sale last week and hasn't been put back on. Thousands left on website. Our lack of love affair with the CL will bizzare the board

2100 tickets left.
With CBL3 still greyed out.

Spot on, my seat went unused on Saturday as the boat over was cancelled on the day due to the weather, there is a fair few blues in the same situation and I didnt manage to sell it on in time. It was a bad storm, weather plays a much bigger impact than people realise.
