How many points to win the league?

if Haaland doesnt score neither anyone else. well he wont score ever game and two of our main rivals have multiple source of goals. one big source in Saka and Salah and few others too.

last season Rodri and Alvarez were in top4 within the club for G+A. we lost both and nobody actually replacing that portion. add to that KDB is very injury prone and Foden despite the immense season he had also causing issues on G+A he just delivers nothing so far basically. his numbers will be like divided by 5 compared to last year.

the goal and assist contribution in the PL from Doku, Grealish, Bernardo, Savinho, our 4 main wingers, well hate to say it but Salah alone shits out their combined G+A so far. it shouldnt be like that at all.

it looks bleak not just the results but the goalscoring on its own. who will step up? what if Haaland gets an injury for 3 months. please dont come with the happy clapping answer of we won the league 3 years ago without striker. yes because we pressed well, were more compact, Sterling, Jesus did well in pressing from the wings, and lot of our players chipped in with goals. nobody was above 15 goals that season but lots were in that 6/10 range (foden, KDB, Mahrez, Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling with Gundogan with topping it with 12+). now Gvardiol will be our 2nd highest scorer behind Haaland with 5 goals maybe. thats a joke.

It’s been poor squad planning the say the least. There was a time when peak Gundo and Mahrez struggled for a first team spot due to the quality we had. They were genuine world class players.

Now we’ve got the likes of Savinho, Doku, Nunes and Kovacic who are good players but nowhere near the world class level.
Spot on. The sad fact is Savinho Doku Nunes Lewis Kovacic are miles off what we have had in the past 6 seasons.

Foden and Bernado are miles off it this year so the whole set up is a compete fuck up.

We ain’t finishing top 4 this season. Big questions need to be asked from a lot of people.

Today’s pre match bollocks whilst in the middle 5 defeats on the bounce. Somebody needs to fucking wake up.

We aren't winning the league. The club won't break the mould and go big in Jan for a short term gain. We aren't out of it yet, but there isn't going to be a run like previous seasons with the glaring issues we have.

Concentrate on building for the future and staying in top 4.

Does anyone think the business side of the club for example complying with ffp etc has become more concerning than the playing side, where Palmer and Alvarez are sold for understandable reasons,it’s a hard balance between letting good players have a future and fitting them in to our team bearing in mind the constraints financially like the court cases etc..

We’ll win the league. Nothing is won in November and once we sort ourselves out - and Pep finds a tactic that nobody can play against (because they’re not used to it) - we’ll go on a run. 2020/2021 style.

We seem to have an aura over teams we’re in a race with and if we put a few wins together, it’ll feel inevitable.

The reality is that Rodri is irreplaceable and Pep won't find a tactic that can fully compensate for his absence. Gundo is 34, Kova 31, Bernie 30 and Lewis 20. Even a magician can't make from these options a solid midfield capable of winning us many games in a row. They are good players, but lack legs and physicality.

IF we beat Liverpool next week I will be more hopeful. But tactical innovations won't do if many players don't improve, starting with Foden who is very average now.

If, and it's a big if these days, we bring in solid reinforcements in January, we might have a shot of getting back into it, but the reality is we might just be too far off the pace by then.

we went to Anfield multiple times in levels better form than current form and shit the bed almost all the time. with current form, it could be 3-0 in first half worry is we are not gonna have much control of the game. their midfield is more physical than others and thats what our current midfield of Lewis/Gundo will not like at all. Salah, Diaz to go up against Walker and Gvardiol, another few potential mistakes in them. but right now our defence and the lack of help they get they can make flop Nunez look like Van Basten or Shearer in their prime.

We aren’t in it. Even if everyone gets back fit and starts playing well, our midfield isn’t good enough.

Am I the only one who is ok with that?

This team pep assembled has won 6 PL titles in 7 years and 4 in a row. I can live with a fallow year.

I never dreamed we’d be so dominant and it can’t go on forever. Take this year as a bit of a rebuild, let Rico, Savinho, Doku, Gvardiol, Foden & Haaland come to the forefront and be the leaders of the team and then Pep can bring in replacements for the 30+ year olds and try and win another 2 before he leaves, with a young team with plenty of years left to carry on his legacy.

Of the realistic options I’d rather Chelsea win if we can’t, but I don’t even care that it’s Liverpool *that* much. Nothing is going to be more annoying than 2020 and Slot is nowhere near as aggravating as Klopp. I’m happy for Arsenal to keep extending their 20 years without a title streak.

I think we'll finish third this season. Or lower if we get a significant points deduction. Can you imagine how funny it'll be if the one season we get the points reduction is the one we're off the pace!

Leicester had 1 big wank.
We've just had 4 without stopping cumin.
The dippers get hard but can't cum.
And the rags haven't had a bone on for 12 years.

no idea where that philosophy cum from
