I agree. I feel we need two to come in if one of them is Wharton. Can't have a 20-year-old playing every game after an operation. What I would say about this, is that we were interested in Wharton. All the other names have been brought up due to the crisis going on.
It would however be a big ask for a 20 year old to come in and save our very long season ahead.
It seems Arsenal are interested in him as well as Zubimendi. They've already got Rice and Partey so maybe a youngster like Wharton could bed in there.I agree. I feel we need two to come in if one of them is Wharton. Can't have a 20-year-old playing every game after an operation.
If they are good enough. Quite impressive if happens.Blackburn

I don’t think saving this season should be the priority though. We need to think long term and bring in the right players for the longer term,so if we think thats Wharton then thats who we should go for, if it helps this season great if not then so be it.What I would say about this, is that we were interested in Wharton. This is it. Everyone is trying to laugh at us whilst we sit second in the table. After Pep’s first season (only season ever he finished outside the top 2) we then went onto win the league 2 times in a row. Then Liverpool walked the league and we have won 4 in a row.I don’t think saving this season should be the priority though. Good point. And if we do think highly of him we should sign him with the future in mind. But given that the chances of missing out on a champions league spot is very real and that the fact we will be playing in the new format world club championship, we really do need an experienced body in thereI don’t think saving this season should be the priority though. It's a tricky one. The future is important but so is the here-and-now. How we do over the next month could be key. If we stabilise and pick up then it'll just be one in. If we're struggling then it could be two, one of which could be Wharton if we feel we need to fast-track him six months earlier than we'd like.Good point. Think thats what we need. I have no idea if Wharton is the one. But it needs to be somebody that can be more Gundogan than Rodri longer term.I might be wrong but I don't think Wharton will stay as a DM. His passing is to good to be wasted as a DM. He's always looking for runners and playing balls into space. He's young but he could be changed into an attacking mid
Grealish? Successful?Like stones, Barry, walker, grealish, and all the others who’ve been successful with us
A gig ask for the others coming into a new country/league.What I would say about this, is that we were interested in Wharton. All the other names have been brought up due to the crisis going on.

Shall we list Scott Carson's medals as well? Grealish has had half a season for us where he has been useful, the rest he has been shiteGareth Barry - 4 seasons, 1 PL title, 1 FA Cup
Jack Grealish - 3 seasons, 3 PL titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 Champions League, 1 Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup
