Leroy Sané

Rather offload Grealish for a Kvaratsheila bid if we're switching up wingers.

Everything you've stated above is history.
Is he better than what we have - possibly, but watching him recently he's not the messiah some would have it.
Still doesn't work hard enough for the team to get in a Pep side.
Not saying he would be the a messiah????

Just think he would he better than the options we have at the minute.

People won't like to hear this but Grealish has been more important to a more successful City team than Leroy was, and Grealish was in good form for longer than Leroy ever was.

I loved Leroy at his best, but it was obvious in the weeks after he scored that goal against Liverpool that he didn't have it. After that big goal he should have nailed down his place and gone on to be in the conversation for the Balon d'Or. Instead, his attitude went off a cliff and he fell out with Pep big time for some reason.

While he's had a good career in Germany that anyone should be proud of, he hasn't been anywhere near consistent or good enough to justify taking a place in any potential rebuild. He clearly regrets leaving us but there's a reason nobody's really been interested in luring him from Bayern and those reasons would rear their heads were he to rejoin in the summer.

I feel like people have forgotten just how frustrating he could be when he wasn't playing well - it was very much all or nothing with him and the nothing games were terrible. I'll never forget Burnley away when he finally got a start after weeks of Sterling and Mahrez being picked ahead of him, and he proceeded to sulk and stink the place out before Pep hooked him on the hour.

Sadly for Leroy, Pep won't have forgotten that. I wouldn't be opposed to him coming back - even in Grealish's place, to be honest - but he'll need to be a completely different man to the boy who left. If he can assure Pep of that, why not? But he's shown nothing at Bayern to indicate that he'd be anything more than a squad player here. Incredible at his best but his best wasn't seen frequently enough.

Bit of a stretch to suggest the returning gundogan at 34 will be precedent for any player returning, let alone a 28 year old one.

Sane is better than any winger we have and will buy us 3 years whilst they develop. I’d be ok with him returning but I don’t think it will ever happen. I just dont think we’d be interested

I have a feeling Pep wouldn't, and that is the most important factor.

Why bring grealish into it ? Sane was an exciting player who scored goals and him and raz was a thing of beautiful and it was right he won young player of the year for the centurian season. If only grealish could do anything like that , at twenty nine he has lost his hunger and wont last here much longer and wont be talked about as a hero for the whole three months he was any good . At least sane contributed in a positive way

Grealish was playing well a lot longer than just three months it's just a lot of people only started noticing more as the season went on, he had a great second season in pretty much it's entirety and @youngbob made some great points but I agree it was a thing of beauty and there's not too much reason to compare both, not because one was more important than the other but the opposite I think each players importance to the side they were involved in with was equal.

Stick Grealish into that centurions season instead of Sane and it's a different outcome we totally needed pace and goals out wide, conversely stick Sane into our treble winning season instead of Grealish and we'd have no chance of winning it all as Grealish's offered exactly what we needed.

Both players were incredibly important in those particular seasons and both have had drop offs of form, whether that's because of injury or attitude problems or a multitude of other reasons.

I'm not sure Leroy as great as he was is the answer unless he takes a serious pay cut and I've no doubt he regrets leaving, he cannot be deemed as an important first team player though if we went back in for him and he needs that plus there are probably better options, I'll admit the major plus point of a Leroy Sane return is that he'd be on free but without that we wouldn't or shouldn't be talking about it.

I loved Leroy at his best is this possible? Maybe and I don't buy into never going back despite Gundo's current form but like has been said Leroy Sane was incredibly frustrating for Pep at times, most people don't appreciate the role Pep asks of Grealish he isn't all about G/A's he's about the team retaining possession and he works hard, he's been asked to do a job nobody else in our squad can do quite as well in winning free kicks and keeping us in possession further up the pitch.

Unfortunately our injuries have been a major issue we've actually badly missed both Jack Grealish and Oscar Bobb so far this season, honestly I suspect if we had all our wingers fully fit all season then this particular thread wouldn't be as busy as it currently is.

Him sprinting down the wing to be greeted by a brilliant ball by kev , he really was one of the few players we have had that got me off my seat , the centurian season was fantastic
Sane on form and firing was magnificent wonderful player but there were far too many games where he disappeared too easily.

He has done eactly the same at Bayern and hence why they will move him on, he's on elite player wages but does not produce enough elite moments.

Pep was ultimately proved right on him. Although i do think that ACL changed him anyway even if he would have found the real elite desire to go with his world class talent. Still probably my favourite City winger as when he was on it he was so exciting to watch and had great end product unlike many rapid wingers.

He was very young and all young players are inconsitant , he cant have been that bad seeing as he won young player of the year !

No more fucking wingers, please!!

It's the Grand Canyon down the middle of the pitch we have overlooked for far too long.

Savinho, Doku, Bobb, Grealish, Foden and Bernie?

I think we're covered!

Centre mid is where we are exposed and where the biggest requirement for upgrade is needed urgently.

Control that and all of our wide players become greater threats,

He isn't young anymore but he is inconsistent as ever, hence why clubs move him on.

Sane still has more goals and assists than Grealish, Savinho, Doku & Bobb combined and he left 4 years ago. I think we're far from fucking covered.

Silva has wanted to leave for the last 4 years, if that was Sterling/Sane or anyone else then fans would be up in arms about it.

Foden is the only one who has consistently been a goal threat over the last couple of years but even he's struggling this season.

We need more pace & creativity from out wide as well as centrally.

And to say it again, Liverpool, Arsenal & Utd are heavily linked with Sane. He's on a free, he's got bags more experience now. It's makes more sense than bringing a 34 year old Gundogan back
