Just want to be on record saying Van Dijk is probably the best center back of all-time. Worldwide, not just England. Very hard to argue against it with anything other than titles. Team sport.

Not for me, he's had 2 or 3 seasons when he has been the best in the league,mainly before his injury. He's also had spells when he hasn't been that great. In fact since his injury he does this weird backing off and jockying thing that gets him into trouble.He's good but best ever not for me.

As a blue I'm not going to continue to push the Van Dijk agenda lol, but sure he had a down season by his standards after the injury, but back to his best this year and last. Clear and away best center back in the world currently.

I doubted he'd reach the top levels again after his injury but he proved me wrong, unfortunately. And to add to this, when is that **** Salah going to slow down? Seems to only get better. Really impressed by these lads. Maybe only winning an asterisks Covid cup has given them the extra drive... lol.

Absolute bollocks. I can only assume your fishing. If not. Then are you new to football? Van Dijk is not in top 10 of best cbs of all time. Youre statement quite frankly annoys me
 
Cannovaro is one of the best CBs ever imho.
Anyway on the subject of transfers we are overdue a “Def con one” moment.
Erling was the last one for me but who would fit that mould on a realistic level ?

I would agree and I was joking, they have more pressing issues especially MF, I would imagine they will try hard to get Wirtz and will sign Arnold on a free.

Midfield: Rodri, Foden
Attack: Haaland, Savinho (goals WILL come) and Bobb

Stones and Ake are good enough when fit, but are too injury prone and can’t be relied on as long as Pep wants a small squad. Walker and Gundogan are 100% finished. Bernardo has wanted out for years, and needs to be replaced with someone younger who actually wants to be here. Kovacic is a little similar to Stones and Ake, but I hope he stays one more season. KDB has supposedly been training fully for 4 weeks but still can’t start a game? Can’t see the club offering 300k+ a week for someone who’s never fit. Although I personally rate Nunes it seems like Pep doesn’t. Doku is very lively and provides something different but needs to add more goals and assists to his game. Don’t think he will leave but is in no way untouchable if a huge bid came in. No idea what’s going on with Grealish lately, Pep seemed a little angry with him in that one press conference. I personally like Grealish, but like Doku, he should be adding more goals and assists to his game, but unlike Doku, time is not on his side

Savinho is far from untouchable, the guy needs to grow some balls and getting the numbers before he is even a trusted starter

That 24 includes Carson, JWE who is not trusted to ever start a match, McAtee who isn't trusted to play more than one minute against Ipswich at home, and Oscar Bobb who was going to get more game time apparently, but knowing Pep that might have been limited minutes as well. It also includes perma crocks Stones, Ake, KDB, and Grealish.

Most of the time we can't fill our bench and rather than putting a youth player on there we stick Carson on for some reason.
