PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It amazes me how many people start these posts with “I’m not normally a Conspiracy Theorist”.

Imho if you’re not a conspiracy theorist, you’re not paying attention. The term conspiracy theorist was introduced by the CIA to describe anybody who challenged the official version on the Kennedy assassination. Now if you still believe Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy as a lone assassin and was then conveniently shot himself shortly after, given the welter of info out there, I’d like to treat your drive for Covid. £2k, mates rates.

Don’t vilify the conspiracy theorists. They keep things right. Even if they’re wrong.

I’m not one, obviously. Freaks.
Me and Mrs Mars were watching some shite Netflix thing about aliens the other night and there was a bit in it about a secret underwater alien base off the coast of Mexico. Proper wacky X-Files Halloween special type stuff but good light entertainment.

I actually said to her, remember when conspiracy theories used to be fun and harmless? Aliens, Area 51, the Bermuda Triangle, Elvis being alive, even the Illuminati and JFK and shit. The stuff of fantasy but for the most part a bit of fun.

Now they're all really nasty and damaging - whack job nutters banging on about vaccines and "15 minute cities" and Hillary Clinton drinking kids blood in a pizza parlour etc.

With social media we've lost the innocence of a good old fashioned conspiracy theory.

It's over, we're guilty, relegated! I'm just trying to decide which shirt do I wear now? Liverpool, Chelsea, the Rags, Arsenal or Newcastle? Mmmmm decisions.....

Most opposing fans saying all clubs should refuse to play us if we get away with it lol it's like kids in the playground ffs "I'm taking my ball home & telling me mam" soft mard ass f**kers!!!
The thick cunts don’t realise that if all clubs do that, we’d be awarded 3 points for every match and win the league with a 38-0-0 record!

Sorry to put a dampener on things this morning after getting back to winning ways but just thought I’d share this. One of our lot was telling me last night that he heard on Sunday from someone at Anfield that 50-odd charges have fallen away but they’re going to find against us on some of the others, and we’re getting a 40 point deduction. Now if this “someone” was a random bloke, then obviously I wouldn’t even be giving it the time of day, let alone posting it on here. However, we all know or have at least heard of this “someone” - who I won’t name but I’m sure some will be able to work out who it is - and he told my mate that he’d heard this from a contact “high up at the club”.

Anyway, this mate who heard this said he naturally wasn’t in the best of moods as the second half kicked off! However, he has plenty of other contacts in the media and at the club. One of his media contacts is someone who’s been his mate for the past 30-odd years and again is someone we all know as he errr, cough cough, posts on here ;) So he asked him if he’d heard anything about this so-called 40 point deduction. The answer he got back was along the lines of “That’s bollocks as they’ve not even done the summing up yet!”. This is a fair point as while I think both sides might have an inkling of how things are going at this stage, if the summing up hasn’t even started (or is just starting going off the pics that have been posted on here), let alone the panel then sitting down and spending months deliberating, I can’t see how anyone would know at this point in time what our punishment - if there is to be any - would be.

Like I say, sorry for the seemingly negative post but I think it’s only fair that info from sources should be shared regardless of whether it’s positive or negative.

A rumour that has been doing the rounds for weeks.

If anybody knew there was a 40 point deduction in the wind, they would not need to be summing up?

It's a very specific number and would surely also only be true if City had already brokered such a settlement.

As I say, it would render the proceedings this week entirely meaningless.

On the flip side, if 50 odd changes have also been dismissed, it's a high probability everything else would have also fallen by the wayside as a result of the charges being in triplicate.

If we were to be deducted 40 points (which I very much doubt has been decided)

Based on the average points required to stay up over the last 10 seasons (34)... we'd need to win at least 16 of our remaining 24 games

Piece of piss

Thought last night when forest fans were singing "you know what you are" .. a good response would have been "we know what we are, we know what we are. Champions of England we know what we are".....but I was in seats in front of the boxes and when I scream at the ref in these seats I get funny stares so starting chants is a non starter

A fantastic and straight forward summation, and the way that I see this whole fiasco too(if a little conspiratorial).

They must be trying very hard to destroy us when considering the costs, would be interesting to know for sure who is paying their legal bills, and whether any of our fellow member clubs have a financial input or some other form of collusion in the background.

I am confident though, in our ownership, and trust that we have knowledge enough to successfully defend our position and do some revealing of "shady dealings" after we are cleared of all but a non cooperation charge.

Sadly, their efforts have had some success because even before the outcome is known, the whole affair has sullied our club in the eyes of all but those who can be bothered to do their own research.

Still, "judgement day" is gonna be epic if we are cleared of all the financial wrongdoing charges......bring it on.
Cheers mate. I’m inclined to ageee but any reason why IC would say he heard it from someone high up at the club? Never had him down as a BS merchant.

Maybe the someone high up at the club was taking the piss and looking forward to a post on Bluemoon. It would also discredit Cheeseman and he might not be in favour at City. There’s my conspiracy theory !

Hope they do that'll be automatically 3 points for us if they refuse to play us. Be great in the fa cup as an automatic bye every round.

As most of the chargeses are the same over various seasons, how do we manage to only drop 50 of them ?

Not in any way suggesting the info is correct but isn't it possible that there is more cogent evidence over some seasons than there is over others?

He got the big one right with the CAS decision.

No idea what the rest of his ITK track record is ??

He genuinely didn't. He went early. The Club were always confident but I can assure you, they didn't know the verdict until it dropped and the celebrations from the entire executive were as a result of that.

The Club were extremely disappointed with Ian Cheeseman at the time and couldn't believe he would have gone out on a limb like that.

I know he is long-term friends with Chris Bailey, who is a great bloke, but know even he was shocked by Cheesy trying to launch his new career that way.

He may well have heard something from Chris, who has the ear of our Chairman, but it was only recently someone else claiming to know Chris, claiming we were only being done for non-cooperation!!

I very much doubt Chris would be stupid enough to betray any type of confidence from Khaldoon!
