I don't need McAtee to establish himself.

Bernardo and Gundogan are "established" yet are putting shit performances in every week. How is that helping?

Rico Lewis is not a LB. He was bullied on Saturday, spent more time on the floor than on his feet and before anyone starts, yes he scored what could be an important equaliser. Doesn't take away from the rest of the game.

Bernardo and Gundogan are having a bad patch. Not least because they're knackered but can't be rested due to injuries to others.

Lewis is also being played more and in positions on the pitch he wouldn't usually play because of injuries to others.

Maybe start supporting these players rather than doing over the top criticism?

Agreed if we can bring in a couple of top players in January then we could have a good 2nd half of the season.

We are a bit lucky tbh, because the standard at the top of the PL isn't great, and if we do some decent business we should definitely get top 4.

Then we will hopefully kick on in the summer.
I think it is a good standard outside of united consistently being ass. It's just the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, forest, who normally you'd look at be 3 points are no longer those type of fixtures so many games for top sides to drop points in

If Their performances are down to injuries and overplaying...why won't he play McAtee and O'Reilly then?

Just keep running Bernardo and Gundogan into the ground every game is getting us nowhere.

No your right. I spend hundreds every week travelling round the country to not support the team. I just do it for a laugh actually.

What's wrong with saying, yeah the old guard looks fucked, maybe we try some of our talent?

Not asking for us to bring back Ousmane Dabo because ive got a vengeance against Gundogan am I.

The only difference for me is the inconsistency from the top sides like City and Arsenal. Both would be beating the teams from 5th-13th regularly in usual seasons. There might be the odd result here or there that wasn't a win, but those teams haven't improved more than in previous seasons, the top sides (other than the dippers) have just declined and joined that group. 6pts between 5th-13th shows how close things are. And our next two could drag us right into that group too.

I'm not concerned about top 4 though. The result against Forest showed what we're capable of and the performance against Palace highlighted the issues. Rico and Walker in the back line will cause us problems in games. Particularly Walker. The back 4 with Akanji and Ake against Forest was much better. Without Dias we would have lost on Saturday.

If we can have a back 4 of CBs again we'll be fine. But that feels a big if at the moment unfortunately.

Probably because Pep doesn't think McAtee is good enough and doesn't want to throw a young kid into the fire.

We are usually well down the road with transfer targets for the summer window with only haggling with clubs, that normally takes some time but we try to get our business done early. Even if there are delays we are usually done before the season starts.

I don’t think we can afford to drag out negotiations on any player in January. We have 4 league matches (5 if we include Arsenal on the 1st) and 2 champions league games in January. Considering our issues at the moment my delay in getting deals done could cost points.

Football isn’t keeping up with modern times. How come clubs have to pay so much for players in January? Any other business has the January sales, football should do the same. ;)

We have undoubtedly fallen off which is normal for a team winning 4 titles in a row but I think arsenal are at the exact same level just a few mishaps with sending offs and dropping points against genuine improving sides in Fulham and Bournemouth. I too do feel we will get top 4 as we still have the players and experience to get it Over the line in spite of how much we talk about how bad we are atm. The one side who really have been woeful decision making wise and would have been a threat to us if they weren't so brain dead and knew how to manage games, is spurs but thankfully they are just a dumb team.

Form is temporary. Class is permanent.

A blue I know is convinced we have gone back for guimeres today and put in an offer (heard it through work with his geordie companies branch) not a sausage on the internet so reckon its more bollocks but and hope on his end.

Rumours have been circulating, any idea of the price?

Echeverri, Bobb, Zubimendi/Ederson and a right back hopefully next month. Too late to push a title charge this season for me but champions league and fa cup got a great chance

I’ve a real problem with this.(not directly from you personally here either btw)

Echeverri and Bobb are being unintentionally built to unrealistic levels of expectation.

Two players I’m more than happy to see get all the minutes they can get but let’s not think they won’t have set backs and games they vanish etc.
