PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'd guess their summing up has to be water tight legally which takes time

Yes, that was a good post from @slbsn.

I hadn't thought about the effect of the split hearing on timing before. There could be a liability finding first and an appeal against the finding even before there is a possible sanctions hearing and an appeal against that as well. If we are looking at (at least) three months for the liability finding and six months each for the other processes, that's still nearly two more years.

One thing I would add, though, people are thinking that a quick judgment on the liability finding will be good for City, and a long wait for the judgment would indicate some more closeness. This may be true, but second-guessing is a stressful fool's game because we don't know what a quick or long wait for the judgment is. So my advice is not to start panicking if we hear nothing by end February. That may not be an indication that the club is struggling, just that it takes longer than we thought to deliberate, write and approve 500 pages' worth of issues.

On the other hand if we hear nothing by May .... Panic!!!!!!

:)

I know it’s probably a how long is apiece of string question. But in your humble opinion, do you think the Premier League will appeal the decision if we’re cleared of all of the charges? Do you think they want to drag this out any longer or just draw a line under it?

With respect and all that I've been on here for longer than you (and before the date in my profile), long before FFP even existed and I won't be going anywhere. Unfortunately afflicted for life. Don't like? Maybe stay off the thread about the case - just an idea
Ignore idiots Stefan. Some folk think they sound funny. Well I suppose we laugh AT him & he thinks we’re laughing with him

In a perverse way they'll be even more fucked if we're guilty....there'll be noone to blame for them being shit.

It certainly remains to be seen if with the shite upstairs the cartel have that they can out manover Newcastle or even Chelsea. By the time they 'do' those clubs even if we were actually relegated we'd be back up the top to still push the fuckers down.

All that being said I'm happy with Big Kal's comments when the charges were made and that the worst we'll get is some jumped up non-cooperation fine.
When are the PL going to sanction Chelsea for admitting to funnelling all the money into the club via Cyprus under Abramovic?

If cleared of everything and not just due to, say, limitation, it will be hard to appeal because the findings of fact would likely be fatal to the PL case. Appeals are not retrials (unless where the appeal finds there is no way to correct the initial hearing’s errors - super unlikely)

you will get somebody going to the media because of the amount of people involved, both City and the Premier League have people with moles in both camps.

I don't see how it's not going to be leaked because of the amount of damage the verdict has on both camps
Nah, can’t see any credible leaks appearing. The judges won’t be gossiping, you’d think. Perhaps either sets of lawyers may reveal how they feel and that may be leaked.

big kal?

I used to think that the PL wanted none of this and were being pushed to do this by the red cartel. Now I’m thinking the PL are out to get us and most PL clubs are sick of it.
