PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

MCFC: Were ready. Name a date...

PL: Can you gives us a couple of years to destroy your clubs reputation and our lawyers can find something on you so we can justify the delay for, and give you with a world record fine for say...The wrong colour goal nets?

A bit of both i suppose but honestly, the general response i get from most fans is that we are cheating cunts.
Even fans of lower league sides gnash their teeth about our FFP issues, it's way more than just the likes of Liverpool, Utd or Arsenal fans being jealous.
Most of the time i just laugh it all off but now & again i end up losing my head over it and tell them to fuck off ha.
Not many want to talk football anymore, it's all about these fucking charges
Then in that case, follow Blue Mists advice. Also tell them their breath stinks of cocks.

I listened again to the 93:20 podcast with steffan when the CAS decision first came out. I'm trying to think what could the Premier league have on us that's different because the main points was UEFA only had emails with no supporting evidence. So he talks about the esihlat deal being time barred and not concluded by CAS. I think the issue with esihlat was it seemed mansour put up the sponsor money then later recovered from esihlat which I think @Prestwich_Blue has stated this was the case but UEFA accepted that. Could the Premier view this differently and state that this is against their rules and if so would this make it a different fight to UEFA?

Not for me, firstly if it was Sir Jim it wouldn’t be viewed with suspicion. Also it is unsure how Mansour did it, as owner of City he put in equity in the form of a Directors loan knowing the business was due a chunk of money later. This must happen in a lot of businesses.

If he paid it on behalf of Esihlat and they paid him back, that would be a bit more unusual.

Ultimately if the money has been paid by Esihlat, it could not be equity designed as sponsorship.

Although the Etisalat sponsorship was time-barred under UEFA rules, CAS still looked at it and found there was nothing untoward. The PL's Profit & Sustainability rules came into being after the Etisalat contract was done and dusted, plus they're nowhere near as detailed as UEFA's FFP rules.

FFP specifically talks about, and doesn't allow, 'disguised equity payments', which is owners putting in money as revenue. PL's rules talk about "acting in good faith", "presenting accurate accounts" etc. Very generic in other words.

Saw this guy Harris guy on my feed.
What is happening guys seriously this usual vitriol has gone up a level.

Thread on us pretty much being corrupt, burying the case. Big swear campaign.

Lost his job apparently I read here but to pup out these kind of tweet I hope clubs sures him for real. We are too placid that these kind of things happen but this went over the line.

200k followed taking this as this as gospel. Probably paid off to continue this is abnormal.

Thread starts here

———————key tweet I saw qrt by someone saying we will be cleared by we are guilty.

He's re-posted his thread from the other day that was commented on here. He got his facts wrong again in that thread.

He's now added the Braham Diaz story with email AND goes on to invite whistleblowers from City emploeyees.

Ask them, what exactly are these charges?

I swing back n forth about what i think/hope/dread/ will be.

Part of me thinks, “how can the Prem get this so wrong. Surely the level and seriousness of these accusations means they MUST have something on us. Would they risk the credibility of such a huge worldwide organisation on a whim or at the behest of certain clubs.

Then u swing back to the robust nature in the way City And our powers that be have defended themselves and come out fighting , saying we are 100% innocent and will prove it.

One thing is for sure. One side has got this VERY wrong.
If the PL fails to prove their case, could there be a call for Richard Masters to publicly state why he pursued this line of action despite having little to no new evidence?
In other words, was undue pressure put on the PL to proceed with these charges?
If yes, then by whom?

He’s obsessed and, by all accounts, untouchable due to his fragile mental health.

Out of all our (many) detractors he is the most desperate to see us get absolutely destroyed.

The documents filed at CAS show the money due from Etisalat (for the period under review) was paid by ADUG and then reimbursed to ADUG by Etisalat.

They also explain why.
