PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It appears that Nick Harris, as is his way, wishes to pollute the narrative with the stench of 'we know they're guilty but it's proving it that is the issue'. This keeps the atmosphere around the club a negative one, and feeds the fans of the cartel with the information they need. It is for this reason that I feel that any failure of the PL to find guilt needs to be come with a boatload of PR from the club finally ending the matter.
Nah, would prefer law suits to PR personally…more effective and lets people know what happens when they take us on.

Can someone summarize any new developments for us poor dumbards?
A big limousine rolled into Alice’s drive.
Nobody knows why she’s leaving, or where she’s going to go.
24 years just waiting for a chance, then I got a second glance
Then realised how lucky I’d been, as I spotted a red flag,
I’m so pleased she’s leaving, now I know she’s a filthy rag…..

Bloody hell here's Alice with the full story of the charges - might as well delete the previous 7000-odd pages of this thread then

I often wonder if I could be bothered to try and get one of these clickbait scams off the ground to rake in a bit of advertising money. Anyone know how many gullible twats you need to click your story to make it worthwhile?

We’ve not been cautious we’ve made sporting & business decisions based on the same metrics we have done for years. Since 2008 we’ve continually invested in the infrastructure of the club to grow & make the club sustainable & currently close to a $300m extension.

For the last 10 years we’ve been attacked for 1 reason only, we are an incredible outfit. Our owners have told us we have nothing to worry about. We were banned for 2 years from the Champions league & CAS found no evidence of wrong doing & UEFA had broken their own rules to ban us. Yet after all that the premier league who have been found to treat us unlawfully, unfairly & unreasonably have conjured up 130 charges which Khaldoon has told us is bollocks & judging on the last 2 times we’ve been in front of panels it’s under control.

We’ve been hit by a perfect storm of injuries nothing else.

Pep likes a small squad & let’s anyone (except Bernardo) go as soon as they bring a valuation to the club whether they are seasoned professionals or prospects. That system has worked perfectly, our style of football, happy camp has allowed us to win trophy’s at a rate never seen n England. We’ve had injuries in crucial areas but this season it took our spine.

So everything we have done in the past that has worked for us is being blamed or questioned at this moment.

We even gave the English Spanish players a month off to rest up & we were top of the league. An inform Kovacic allowed Rodri to rest. Lewis showed he was ready to take Walkers spot & Oscar Bobb was looking world class. KDB would play less like year before but Foden current player of the year can take over.

There was no reason to worry but now with hindsight fans are saying we must be worried about relegation as we needed 3 world class 6’s, should have signed 2 centre half’s & fucked off Stones & Ake, said no to Alvarez the player that fans started slagging off last year.

Stay cool like Khaldoon.
Love the sign off.

We all see it different, but stand by what I put.

There is a real reluctance to accept that City would plan for losing because they are so confident of winning. This is a common look for both sides.

Directors will have had conversations on what happens if we lose as will investors etc. This will have been covered in length even if the possibilities are low and will have been considered with eye on future PSR.

I agree the infrastructure spend is outside PSR so unless we realistically thought we would lose, why not just carry on.

This is about not ending up in a positon where it will be very hard to recovery if they do get one over us.

For me it’s stay cool like Khaldoon as you have every angle covered.

Even if we are found innocent of all charges, the PL, driven by the red cartel and Spuds, have won. They have turned everyone’s second favourite team into the devils, even people who don’t follow football assume we are guilty
Oh no…somebody doesn’t like us. If only we had won all these trophies without cheating everybody would love us.

Other clubs hate us because we won everything. The rest is noise.

A lot of information about today.

The premier league books updated or not?

City not mentioning the charges in certain accounting sections.

Pep saying he will go back 5 is maybe the tweak needed. Nunes could be this seasons Zin/delph.

Overall we seem to be suffering a burnout across the entire club. In hindsight this off season will probably do everyone the world of good moving forward. Big decisions need made on the playing staff and a collapse like this will sharpen minds. Get us all hungry for success again.

As a loyal, dedicated fanbase we probably all need a reset of sorts. The charges have been a burden and the winning runs have been exhausting at times. Defending the club from all angles take its toll. You only have to look at the effect it is having on Pep x that and you might get close to how the fans feel.

Let’s all just take the season off to recharge. Might see if I can get a loan to Chelsea -:)

I'm not an accountant and I lack the expertise to make much sense out of any set of accounts. What I do know, though, is that City have had to face charges of escalating gravity from UEFA and the PL going back well over a decade. In all that time the club's reply has been a blunt "business as usual" and what business they have done! I'm talking now about off the pitch business: a larger stadium (13000 bigger than when we "moved in"), a hotel, a world class concert hall and a campus which is a world leader. All this has been achieved with the help of growing, record revenues and investment from our partners. This has provoked howls from certain rivals and from their fearful allies in the football authorities. At no point, though, has there been a word, nor even a whisper of protest or complaint from our accountants or auditors. Or even our partners. And these latest accounts are the same. Only slack Alice and tragic hat seem concerned. It seems business as usual is set to continue.

That makes sense but I think the January window is notoriously difficult to do business in when it comes to the more expensive high-profile signings so I'm not going to panic about the outcome of the case if we only sign a couple of moderately priced players in January. Of course, we all know we need an overhaul of the squad but I feel most of the business will be done in the summer.
It is very difficult and any player signed will come with a January premium but needs must.

We have seriously messed up and unless we go and sign players in my humble we can for get top 4 and if we lost Dias of Haaland in the next few week to injury I don't want to think of the consequences.

Some of the people on here talking still of a title challenge are deluded for me, we are in a bad way, without question the weakest squad since Pep's arrival and I would say since the days of leslie Hughes.

Better paying more in the summer than in this transfer window.
