A striker on loan isn't a bad idea at all but who is available. Very rarely you can get someone decent that way because why else would they be available. Missed out on Toney for example.

Who isn't playing somewhere for what ever reason that would be a good signing?

It’s a strange situation, we are very possibly going to lose to Villa before we get more favourable fixtures against Everton and Leicester but everything hinges on January. So things may seem to improve before the window opens.

It cannot be overstated how crucial it is we bring players in immediately. If moves such as Guimaraes are going to happen we might get an indication if he plays against united on the 30th. We have a huge match against PSG which without reinforcements will be a very difficult fixture.

Can’t see anyone going in January bar an outside chance that Walker takes Saudi money.

arnau martinez rb/ch shouldn't be to difficult to do a deal .maybe bring maximo perrone back think he's injured at the moment so should fit right in

The challenge with January is that it's rare to get good deals, and unless we're committing significant funds to it, we run the risk of making Nunes, Phillips type signings, where we overspend on average players. Branthwaite falls into that category for me. We don't need a young 80m left footed centre back when we've got a young 85m left footed centre back in Gvardiol.

We need specialist right and left backs. Not hybrid centre back/midfielder fullbacks. We need two high quality midfielders. We need a De Bruyne replacement, creative. We need goal scoring wingers. We probably need to make Ortega our No.1 keeper. We need an alternative striker to Haaland, a different profile that we can use if the big lump up top approach isn't working. We need a top quality Centre Back that can stay fit.

Unfortunately though, that's about £400m, and I can't imagine we'll get much out of the ones who need shifting.

bring back the Tommy Hutch on corners with Bobby McDonald flick on from the front post.
The one I remember most was the FA Cup 1/4 final replay against Everton, in front of the North stand, those 2 games still live long in my memory, I was 10, 2 of the best games / atmospheres I had been to
