Like Newcastle with Guimaraes, they may have little choice. Whilst Newcastle have to sell to be able to buy, Everton might have to sell to merely survive. Their need to sell could therefore be greater.
not with the takeover, they get all the wiggle room and injection of money.

It's the exact same situation with Haaland. He's playing virtually every minute of every game because we haven't got a back up. I'm not sure playing him until he breaks is a sensible strategy.

I don't say this to take the piss but...Haaland doesn't exactly strain himself to the extent that Rodri does/did.

He's that lazy I'm starting to wonder where he's being told to preserve energy in order to stretch out his minutes.

The fact we require 4 players in JANUARY (Which is renowned for being an incredibly difficult month to sign decent players given clubs don’t want to sell half way through a season) is a damning incitement on how woeful the squad planning has been in the last two years.
I think the way to look at this we need 4 players as an absolute bare minimum as part of the overhaul. Whether we get them in Jan is the issue atm.

The issue is, clubs know we're in panic mode and will then add a premium onto whatever their normal asking price would be.

We're going to need a release clause (Zubimendi) and also players pushing for moves to get stuff done.

Or we abandon our transfer strategy of recent years and pay the premium because we need to.

I've not heard that one before, and it doesn't seem the best plan anyway in case of injury. I doubt it's even true tbh

The fact is that Haaland has played well over two hours more than any other player we have and that's just PL minutes. Taking into account his minutes in the CL and it's probably way more.

It was just piss poor planning for the season ahead.
What do you think was the plan when Pep said no to Kyogo?

Haaland has to play because there is no one else to play at striker, which is bad planning to sell Alvarez but if Rodri was fit then Gundo would be able to have minutes up front.

I’d say we probably had plans to play a false nine if needed but Foden and Bobb are probably better options.

Newcastle have to sell. Bruno G probably knows this his best and only chance to join us and win trophies. I’d be very surprised if he’s not here within a few weeks

Clearly has zero intel and just plays on rumours to generate engagement.

If the players aren't working for Pep they know they will have no future at City. You don't have to be 'in the know' to be aware of Pep's standing and knowing he holds the power.

He'll happily get rid of them and the club would back him.

But it's all bullshit anyway. Just injuries and bad form.

Your spot on, because it's someone he knows its true but had someone else posted it he would of slatsd them all over x , he thinks he's an itk and just copies other people's words .

He's a dimwit and what a daft thing to post.

I'd love the rumours of 2-4 signings to be true but it seems very out of character for us. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see no first-team players come in.
It might arrive 2-4 signings but probably not of any real quality that will improve the squad other than help out short term with injuries. Our problems have been known for months, only 2 weeks until the window opens and still not one quality player seriously linked from any credible source. Just a bunch of "could test the waters" "admire" and so on from various crap sources and "ITKs", that just mentions a bunch of names without really saying anything to farm clicks and interactions.

With that said, I obviously hope I'm wrong and that the club will use this January window to put out a statement and show ambition, that regardless of recent form we are still the top dogs in this league. But I believe it when I see it and anything other than 1 or 2 average players arriving for a "reasonable fee" and/or a last minute panic buy would be surprising. Thats how we have done our business since winning the treble.
