If the charges go away tomorrow Gundogan, Bernardo and Rico Lewis is still the worst midfield in England. Can blame the board but it’s glaringly obvious the charges are causing havoc
The charges were there during in the summer window, and the last winter window etc, etc.If the charges go away tomorrow Gundogan, Bernardo and Rico Lewis is still the worst midfield in England.
Poor recruitment has been arrogance, not due to the charges which would be the easiest thing to work around for incoming players
The charges were also there when we went out and signed the most hyped young defender on the planet for a massive fee. The charges are completely irrelevant to our transfer business. The charges were there during in the summer window, and the last winter window etc, etc.

Take this with a pinch of salt if you want, but heard from someone before that City do accept internally that the recruitment over the past 2/3 years has been not good enough for what we needed given everything. January is being taken seriously apparently. Doesn't mean we'll sign anyone, but I do think this January window will be different than the others - think there will be a genuine intention to sign someone for once.
As part of the collective absolutely. I still hope and expect a individual Premier League level performance from him though. I love Bernardo and Gundogan but they are both completely done at this level. Gundo is probably the worst midfielder in the league on the eye test, statistically he is definitely the worst. I like Rico as well, but hard to get around that he isn't good enough at this level to do what Pep is asking from him and that in itself can be as damaging to his career long-term as it is for our tactical plans short-term.You can add Kovacic to that too.
Wow what gave them that idea?Take this with a pinch of salt if you want, but heard from someone before that City do accept internally that the recruitment over the past 2/3 years has been not good enough for what we needed given everything. The fact that you've caveated that by saying we won't necessarily sign anyone sums up the current state of the club, for me.
Even now they can't act decisively.
You do understand there re 3 parts to any deal ?The fact that you've caveated that by saying we won't necessarily sign anyone sums up the current state of the club, for me.

Thanks for sharing. That is reassuring to hear, although it was pretty disappointing to see us already ruling out Guimaraes and Zubimendi. Hope they can pull a surprise or two out of the bag, because it feels like everyone needs a lift right now.Take this with a pinch of salt if you want, but heard from someone before that City do accept internally that the recruitment over the past 2/3 years has been not good enough for what we needed given everything. A surprise Ric,yeah Pogba and rashford ;-)Thanks for sharing. That is reassuring to hear, although it was pretty disappointing to see us already ruling out Guimaraes and Zubimendi. Hope they can pull a surprise or two out of the bag, because it feels like everyone needs a lift right now.
It's just nice to hear that they know they're wrong. Impossible to ignore at this point though I guess.
They had better take January seriously, because there's no chance we are getting CL football next season unless the cavalry come riding over the hill.Take this with a pinch of salt if you want, but heard from someone before that City do accept internally that the recruitment over the past 2/3 years has been not good enough for what we needed given everything. No other team has ever won 4 in a row. It was bound to catch up with us eventually.we need open heart surgery starting in january! never seen a team fall apart like this
If we held a genuine interest in the players then we've obviously been knocked back. Bruno G because of the fee, and Zubi because he doesn't fancy the move.Still it’s weird that they have to actively inform reporters that we are not in for Bruno or Zubi.
I mean we may or may not get them but who informs this in advance.
Arsenal and Liverpool need Isak and Gordon. They won’t inform in advance, they are not looking at them.
It’s not even the case were we are keeping things close to the chest - the treble winners have lost 9 matches out of 12. They will want players and they will have to pay the premium. This report just gives a kick on the arse of supporters who might be getting giddy with rumours.
why italy?Who's the best athletic, hard working midfielder in Italy? Sign them. They don't even need to be amazing, they just need to be able to run and get stuck in.
