It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Wing targets so far - Mitoma, Olise & Doku.

Midfield targets - Paqueta.

Guess we prioritise getting the deal done with West Ham and see where we are afterwards

Dokus end product is pretty dreadful- one of the best in terms of taking a man on, but his crossing is pretty poor and 2 assists last season in Lihue 1 is poor in comparison to 11 for olise in the premier league. Injuries as well as mentioned. He couldn’t actually get into the Rennes side after he came back from one recently until the player who had replaced him left

One thing I'm chewing over, we need to secure players for positions before we can let 'unwanted' players in their spot go.

Remember when Zinchenko left and we had no cover. Took ages to sort out. The idea is to find the odd men out in the squad, where we have too many, sell them. Then where you want to upgrade, rebalance, replace, you have to find a player first.

You have to find and secure Kova before Gundo's deadline.

You have to buy Paqueta, before you can move Phillips?

Left footed midfielder means we go for a right footed winger. Now we get that signing in place before we let Palmer leave.

And then, find one more right footed defender before you let Cancelo and Laporte go? Because 6 defenders for a season, plus Lewis, doesn't sound good to me. Think this might depend on Bayern and Kane.

im always quite sceptical of the assist thing because its so subjective, some of kdbs last season only haaland would have got 2, think second goal against utd, so while i admit 2 aint exactly a good record, all these things are open to interpretation

He needs a through medical, injury record last couple of years a concern:

How can he miss 5 games with a dead leg? Players like Zabaleta etc over the years wouldn’t have even missed 5 games with a severed leg.

A bit of an update but nothing too ground-breaking!

No solid interest as it stands in Cancelo and Laporte, looks like we'll definitely have to take a hit to get rid of them!

Obvious interest in Paqueta but bid yet to be made.

Definitely looking at a winger and a creative player (Paqueta) before the window shuts.

On a side note was told Stone, Dias and Bernardo all picked injuries up in training yesterday (as to severity/length of time out/missing tomorrows game etc I don't know!)

Que the inevitable abuse but just passing on some news....

players these days in all sports are complete mads, the idea of sucking it up and carrying on is an outmoded concept to the younger generation (exceptions do apply)
