So let's say some of you here get what you're asking for and we kick Pep out. Who do you think can fix this situation? Alonso? You fantasy football manager / reddit football fans need to wake up. We have the BEST man for the job.

He fixed a team that had the likes of Navas, Nolito, Sagna, Clichy,Zabaleta and a few other old players in there, the team we have now is not as bad as the one we had in Pep's first season.

He might go on to win something or nothing this season BUT what I do know is this, come next season, the man would be fresh and ready to go again and so would the team.

Something that really makes me happy is that this is Pep we are talking about here and a lot of these players might need someone to remind them of who they are playing for. Pep was ruthless with Cancelo, Laporte, Sane, Jesus, Sterling even Aguero. If players like Rico, Gvardiol, Grealish even Doku and Savinho don't sit up and make things happen, I wouldn't be surprised if they all get moved on at the end of the season.

And yet you assume I have no idea. I have been watching City for over 50 years I have a good idea what I'm talking about.

We all have a good idea what we're talking about. It's simply a difference of opinions on the subject in hand.

Castigating fellow fans simply because they have a different opinion is childish in the extreme.

I think my comments are close to the truth, others don't. Big deal. It's a bunch of people letting off steam. It matters absolutely zero in the great scheme of things.

Given the current situation, I wouldn’t consider making changes to a system that has become unsuited to most of the squad to be 'kneejerk blind panic'.

Pep is the one who needs to react with something other than 'more of the same'.

Regardless of the business, I think it reasonable to expect a more creative approach than 'more of the same' from someone paid in the region of £20m a year.

As I've said before, Pep's stubborn belief in his system will be the end of him. He'll probably die on his own sword.
What I'm not getting is when did this slow motion, negative, reactive "system" become the "Pep way"? This is ludicrous. Pep has utilized so many different systems over his time as a manager, many resulting in some of the most beautiful, free flowing football ever seen. Somehow he's moved into playing a static, yet high risk system that leaves no margin for error. This has been occurring for well over 18 months. Time for Pep to change it up again, but to something resembling the majority of his sides at City, Bayern, and Barca...

We all have opinions and we all think our opinion is the right otherwise it wouldn't be our opinion.

Can someone please post who has said Pep out. In spite of all the different narratives I've seen or posted myself I haven't seen anyone say Pep out. Are people reading stuff on social media and responding to it here? Because in spite of the concerns and critiques of Pep posted on here I don't see this big Pep out movement. I just see a group of angry clappers taking issue with anyone with the temerity to question our manager by hurling insults and calling people names. Critical thinking is not allowed I suppose...
It suits the purpose of a certain level of poster. Don’t expect a direct answer.

Any criticism AT ALL and the chief whips come out calling everyone out for not being the biggest and bestest blues ever ever invented.

But I don't think most people are asking for Pep to be sacked, I haven't seen any. People are questioning why the same players and the same tactics are used every game when we are seeing no improvement in results or performance. Or why he keeps players in the squad to give them 2 whole minutes in the league during an injury crisis and relegation form, rather than getting rid since he don't trust them.

There's this weird thing on here where people distort others arguments to an extreme, like if someone asks why no academy players can play, people claim they are asking for five youth players to start every game. Any question of Peps tactics or subs in a match means that person knows better and wants him fired.

We are all blues but some disagree on certain points which is fine, it's the whole point of being on a forum.

Then what? He remains the greatest manager we have had. I also trust that he would be going because it was the right thing to do, for the club and himself.
Yes. I actually think he extended to give City maximum flexibility and to reduce any shit effects of 115. Not for personal advantage. Also that he will go without being pushedwhen he knows that’s the right thing to do. We can challenge some of his thinking but not - in my view- his integrity.

Been really disappointed with the way pep has handled this run of form. He is reluctant to try anything different and instead continues to play the same old players who can’t do it anymore.

I really thought he would find a solution tactically but it appears the only solution is to buy better players.

The lack of trust in the youngsters is really frustrating

The club needs to be smart. We saw in the neighborhood what happens if you think the success is granted just by the name.

he needs to watch how other managers able to play quick football and we cannot anymore. we aint gonna get anywhere with this very slow approach even if injured players are back. slow us down on purpose to avoid being countered, it aint working out we still being countered and punished by it very much.

the league is changing we used to stuff Bournemouth with 4-5 goals regularly. now they beat us, beat Arsenal ripped the rags too and they trying for a EL place this season due to a great modern manager.
became a decent mid table club, lower side of top half from usual 14-16th placed side.

Brentford has a good manager as well, Fulham too, Villa deffo, Brighton too. our slow approach aint gonna do much against these. we only beat Brentford nd Fulham of these but we could have lost those games at home. when we visit them later on, I expect it to be really difficult

I wasn't saying you have no idea what you're talking about regarding City. I'm sure you're a die hard Blue who knows quite a bit. I was saying you have no idea what you're talking about by saying I must want Pep out...

Fair enough. Of course i dont know what you you thinking, that isnt possible. I just believe that Pep deserves our support as a fanbase and to be cut a bit of slack.

Very well put. I’m one of those who is questioning Pep whilst realizing he’s most likely the greatest manager we will ever have.
But I’m not calling for him to be sacked. However, I think now after nearly 9 years, I’m not sure he has the energy or appetite to transform the squad as he did in 17-18. He may well do but the style of football does need to change a bit
