Shouldn’t be played on the wing anymore. After his performance in the middle v Forest he deserved a longer run in that position. Strange decision by Pep.
Have to agree I’ve never understood this, the amount of could he draws we should have the most penalties for any team yet he rarely gets any if at all fouls in the box !this thing that he is great at getting freekick and drawing fouls. can you name me another 3 players that are great at this from great teams last 5 years like in PL general. who also has pretty low end product but this great "skill" is also there.
if he is so great at it, why he almost NEVER does it inside a box? drawing a foul inside the box 3 times a game getting us 3 pens on average? why he only can do it far away from the box close to touchline with his back to the goal...
having said that only time drawing a foul can be useful for us if we are in the lead. if we arent or we are behind last thing I want is a freekick with our butt shit delivery resulting in a counter against our defence more often than a proper shot/header from us.
According to reports all smiles, laughing and joking with the Villa staff, after leaving the changing room, whilst Rico just gone up in my estimation!!!!
Villa gave him the freedom of the park because they knew he posed no threat. One of his best 45 minutes in our shirt but also the perfect example why he has to go.
Superb technique, great ball control and retention but zero goal or creation threat.
For a players with such superb technic, his final pass or shot is pathetic, he telegraphs everting and to top defenders/goalkeepers he makes things so easy.
Time to move him on and the only delay in that will be he may survive because too many changes may not be healthy.
Villa gave City the freedom of the park because they knew we posed no threat.
He goes down very easily, in fact I would say he is far too happy to take the foul rather than beat his man.I’m not sure you will, I think that ship has sailed too for Steve Daley Mk2.
The only thing I don’t understand is opposing defenders get away with 3,4 maybe 5 fouls without being carded, yet if he makes one (in retaliation) the yellow is brandished instantly.
If he put in as much effort on the pitch I might agree. Why shouldn't he laugh and joke with friends?
The real world doesn’t end as soon as you change employers. It's only football.
Rico is already getting it.Not sure which poor sod will be lumbered with this thread if / when Jack actually fucks off ?
Rico is already getting it.
When things go wrong, people tend to try to resolve said crisis by finding a scapegoat.Yes I notice he is the next whipping boy for the BM experts to lambast.
don't get it personally, but I'm not a bigger blue which probably explains it :)
Easy that one. How often does he get in the box with the ball?Have to agree I’ve never understood this, the amount of could he draws we should have the most penalties for any team yet he rarely gets any if at all fouls in the box !
He got fouled about 5 times at Villa until Cash finally got booked. Amazingly, once Cash did get booked, Grealish then never touched the ball again. He goes down very easily, in fact I would say he is far too happy to take the foul rather than beat his man.
Cash was lucky not to be booked earlier. Putting Doku on him when he finally got the card would have made sense. He got fouled about 5 times at Villa until Cash finally got booked. Amazingly, once Cash did get booked, Grealish then never touched the ball again.
