Where's this repeat injury talk coming from? Is it simply because he was subbed? He didn't look injured to me when he walked right by me and around the pitch, I assumed that was pep just limiting his time to hold back the next injury as long as possible, especially with another game just days away.

He's the best pure defender at the club and the most reliable when he's fit he'd be starting every single game if he was able to. If we are able to field a back 4 of akanji, dias, ake, gvardiol we'll be in a much better shape.

I certainly hope so, but the problem is he was subbed off in the 85th minute, if Pep was trying to limit his time surely he would've been subbed earlier, I guess we'll know in the next few games, let's hope for the best.

Pep said he wasn't injured in his presser afterwards. He was protecting him. People probably need to get the facts right before spouting the usual hyper boil shit

Another who gets too many injuries now, and doesn’t seem half as good on every return, although I don’t think he played too badly today in all fairness

He was limping / moving gingerly just after he overhit a long ball. Hopefully just a precaution - we’re a much better team with him in it.

Best defender at the club for me, shame he can’t stay fit. Thought he held that back 4 together today as well as anyone could with Gvardiol playing suicide passes every 15 minutes.
Shush, Gvardiol is a world class defender apparently.

Ake and Dias are the best out and out defenders we have.

I hope he’s not injured but he wasn’t moving at all freely in the few minutes before he went off. Hopefully was just feeling tight and came off before anything happened.

Some of the players are taking responsibility and want to play through injuries ,there is no option , no time to let ten players rest for months , we have that twatty bollocks in the summer to come yet so no rest for the start of next season either
So what are we learning, if anything?

Bigger squad? Try one or two kids now and then? Don’t accept a load more matches in close season? Don’t play certain individuals 60 or 70 times a season? Clear out the crocks?

Tbf, it would be wrong of Pep to lay everything bare at the Pressers. Card players don’t show their hands. That means we have to take some of it with a pinch of salt.

Some lovely line holding, played Vardy off a few times to save our arse. They'd have had a certain pen but for him executing the offside trap to perfection. I assume he was just done when he was subbed, no injury but reached a point where continuing would significantly increase the risk of injury. A little bit of a rest now before west ham. If txiki has taken his finger out of his arse and we get somebody in sharpish, We might not even have to continue to put these less than fit defenders in the firing line and can let them get fit.

Real leader's performance today. If we can get him to full fitness he's got to be first choice with Dias going forwards

Comfortably the best of the defenders, again. But still obviously struggling physically - not running as freely as usual.

Has it been confirmed he was taken off as a precaution again today?

Pretty sure it was precaution. He shouldn't be playing and gutted out 85 three days ago. Smart to get him off after 70 today. Now have a week before West Ham and then not another PL match until Jan. 14.

He's gutting it out and should be commended.

Amazed that he played he is nowhere near 100%, and for that he should be given huge credit, in the summer for me one of Ake or Stones will have to go and without question Ake is the one that stays for me, class act when fit.

I reckon there's a good number of players in that boat. Hence our shit pressing and intensity. Let's be honest, for every injured player we've got, there's probably another who's playing with a minor knock of some kind, and we won't find out until the end of the season, if ever.
