Nothing yet. Possibly an announcement today or more likely Pep will reveal all in his press conference tomorrow.Have any initial injury prognosis been revealed?
He was recovering from euros still & not fully match fit which is why he hasn’t started for us this seasonhow do you know he was injured, i think he was training since he came back?
I don't understand why some people are so pessimistic. As you so rightly pointed out, we've been in far worse situations than these. A team like Real Madrid achieved the La Liga/Champions League double last year without their two first-choice central defenders (Alaba and Militao). It's in events like these that you see the great teams, and we're a great team, even a very great team. We'll be fine. We've been in worse positions with fewer defenders and, as always, Pep has found a solution. Just seen Rico Lewis have a cracking game out on the left for England tonight - no reason why he can't do that for us. Wilson-Esbrand is still with the squad after a decent showing in pre-season and I'm sure if he needed to fill in for a few weeks then he would. We won a Premier League title with 100 points with Fabian Delph at left-back, a domestic treble with a 22-year-old Oleksandr Zincheko at left-back, and we've just won a treble without a recognised left-back in the entire squad. Whereas during the 19-20 season, when we had left-backs coming out of our arse, we posted our second-worst season under Pep. Whatever Nathan's unfortunate injury is, we'll cope without him and we'll be ready to welcome him back when he's fit again.
So a month, then.Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola opened his news conference with an injury update on Netherlands defender Nathan Ake, who he says will be out until the next international break.
Ake was stretchered off with what looked like a hamstring strain in the Netherlands' 2-2 draw at home to Germany.
Guardiola said: "We are unlucky with Nathan - every time he goes there [to play for Netherlands] he comes back injured."
