I think we need some physicality more than anything else. Bang average sides are going straight through us because they can bully our players.
I’d love a DMF like NDJ.
Someone who just sits in midfield smashing anyone and everyone.
They could also play along side Rodri allowing Rodri to play a more attacking/creative role and then drop back as needed.
We also need someone other than Dias that can actually organise the team instead of just shouting ‘come on’
Sadly with the injuries we’ve missed Dias more than just defending.

Palhinha at bayern fits the bill perfectly, most tackles in the league whilst at fulham. Currently injured but due back anytime now. Not been getting much of a look in at Bayern but not exactly frozen out and i imagine kompany will want to keep him as an extra option but if there's any hint of willingness to leave, a 6 month loan would be perfect. can we sway Vinnie to help us out a bit? Give them a fairly hefty loan fee to sweeten it

I think we need a Tevez type player, someone who can play 8,9 or 10 and take the game by the scruff of the neck. Someone who can give Haaland a rest or play close by him.

And before people mention Alvarez, he did not possess the ability to take over a match like Carlos could.
Griezmann can play 8, 9 and 10 including 7. High G/A and very good technically, but his 34yrs old in 3 months.
Marmoush can also play 7,11,10 and 9. High G/A and very good technically. I’m not sure how strong he is as an 8. One thing I am sure of, though, is that he’s better than what we currently have—so that should be good enough.

Not sure they have the tenacity and nastiness of Tevez. I’d like to see a couple of hard c#nts sign

Right now, there is no 1-player like Tevez who can play those multiple positions—unless we unearth someone from South America or outside the top-five leagues, perhaps from an inferior league.

Based on what he does at Wolves, Cunha.

But big fishes at small ponds will always be a risk. But he atleast is a much bigger fish than Matheus Nunes ever was.

Are you seriously going to argue about it? Selling Cole Palmer ended up being as bad of a decision as any team will ever do. It is a complete and utter farce that a player we had 18 months ago is the best attacking midfielder in the league while we hardly get even decent moments out of ours. This is how you fall behind.
It wasn't a bad deal to be fair. Similar to the likes of Salah and KDB where they didn't quite cut the mustard at Chelsea but thrived elsewhere.

We had this discussion yesterday. You basically said the same thing then and I told you why I disagreed. Not sure why you are suddenly a day later quoting one of the earliest posts in the discussion, saying the excact same thing without elaborating at all.

It isn't a good deal when it became abruptly clear that we would have needed the player he became as soon as he got given a chance, rather than the fee. You saying over and over again that De Bruyne didn't cut the mustard at Chelsea doesn't make it true. They had a great player and they sold him. They made a mistake. Both De Bruyne and Palmer went on to become two of the best players in the league straight off the bench. No development time at all, not a year after the move. Straight away.

I understand that it could be seen as a good deal, or a good move at the time. But this is the highest level of a multi-billionaire industry. Decisions will be judged on their ramifications long after the fact. Cole Palmer was a major mistake by us. KdB and Salah were major mistakes by Chelsea.
