He’s one of the biggest sick notes going.Ben Chilwell on loan, could give Gvardiol a rest and take him out of the firing line

Would be a good acquisition if he could regain fitness. Only 27, so not over the hill yet.Ben Chilwell on loan, could give Gvardiol a rest and take him out of the firing line
For us? Probably marmoush based on versatility. Don’t think we’ll jump in for either thoughGyokeres or Marmoush? Who’s better?
I seriously have no idea who we might go for. I feel like we will miss out on certain players for whatever reasons. For us? Probably marmoush based on versatility. Don’t think we’ll jump in for either though
Yeah, it’s all gone quiet. Cant see many players who are key where they are moving (marmoush, Zubi, Bruno g, rejinders, delap etc.) at all. Think it’ll be a name or two from outta the blue at best.I seriously have no idea who we might go for. I feel like we will miss out on certain players for whatever reasons.
I mean we are gonna miss out on a fuck load of players by nature that we can't just buy everyone as we can only have a max squad size of 25... can't buy everyoneI seriously have no idea who we might go for. I feel like we will miss out on certain players for whatever reasons.
Marmoush, easily. Marmoush plays beautiful, fluid football. He’s a great dribbler, intelligent, and technically gifted. He creates, assists, and scores. He can play as an RW, LW, striker, or AM, and he can operate as a winger while keeping Haaland as the No. 9, maintaining the system intact. Gyökeres, on the other hand, is strictly a No. 9. To fit him alongside Haaland, you’d have to change the system entirely or bench Haaland. He isn’t technically gifted and is almost similar to Haaland in style.Gyokeres or Marmoush? Who’s better?
Depends on who's leaving. 3 attackers seem overkill. If I consider the next year, lets say we have a budget of 350m (I think spread out over two windows is a fair budget).
3 attackers - Liam Delap, Omar Marmoush and Jonathan David
Would probably cost 125m (David is free but would demand a signing bonus)
1 defensive midfielder - Ederson.
Would probably cost 75m. I think the problem with Rodri out is that neither Gundo or Kova are good enough, we really only need 1 more player, as we have loads of options on who can play as the #8 (Grealish, Nunes, Lewis), and I think that position is fine, its the #6 spot thats killing us.
4 defenders - Robinson (attacking), and 3 more to stay back in Diomande, Bah and 1 more.
Would probably cost 150m.
Now that totals 350m, but im quite certain with player outgoings in terms of transfer fee and them being on higher wages, we easily recoup another 50m.
We probably also need a new GK if Ederson leaves, but that should be more down the line.
Add in the youth players like Bobb coming back, McAtee, O Reilly and Wright as added depth, and the squad age plummets way down.
If we are selling Haaland then and only then maybe Victor. Every other scenario... MarmoushGyokeres or Marmoush? Who’s better?
3 Is potentially overkill I agree.Depends on who's leaving. 3 attackers seem overkill.
Omar Marmoush I am totally in the tank for. David I understand. Delap, strikes me as recency bias. But he'll be a direct backup only. Which I don't like.
CM. Tijani Reijinders I absolutely love. I want a footballer above everything else. And he is that for me.
I personally think paired with a dynamic midfielder, Kovacic is a good enough back up. And I want someone from the academy as the understudy for now. Wright potentially when Rodri is in his prime. So Ederson I'm not as high on.
DEF:
Robinson I'm in the bag for. Everything checks perfect. Speed technic, strong and homegrown.
We won't get 3 CBs: mostly likely just 1. At most 2. So Diomande and or Bah but certainly not 3. Maybe even dude fron Caucasian Mountains. Khovanov or something like that.
Vanderson: Attacking RB... Personally rate Rico and believe he'd be starter if Pep stays his 2 years. But get Vanderson for serious competition and different option and style.
That's how id complete the rebuild.
Team in 2025 Fall
If we are selling Haaland then and only then maybe Victor. Every other scenario... Marmoush
Ake stones and Akanji are not old too old for us to buy if they wernt here. Probably on the decline but not old for CB. They can be phased out over the next 18 months assuming injuries etc persist. That gives us up to 4 windows or at least 2 to replace them. We actually have some depth at CB if we add someone else we can give them more rests recover and get more out of them3 Is potentially overkill I agree.
Part of my idea is moving Foden into the #8 position so its:
ST - Haaland, Delap
10 - Marmoush, David
8 - Foden, Grealish, Nunes
But I will concede that id be more than happy with 2 out of 3.
I disagree on your choice of CM, he is far more of an 8/10 hybrid.
We need a proper #6 replacement for Rodri, our options for the #8 are completely good enough or not a priority to me.
On defenders, Im looking ahead, and the future is calamitous if we only buy 1 defender in the near future.
Walker is done.
Rico is not a right back to me.
Stones is glass and old.
Ake and somewhat Akanji are old, and slowly a little injury prone, Ake moreso than Akanji.
Leaving only Dias (who is starting to get injurjes) and Gvardiol.
1 defender in the next year would be the biggest negligence of this board.
We need 3 at a MINIMUM. And then a 4th in like the 2nd year.
I agree they arent that old, and start of next season are 30, 31 and 30.Ake stones and Akanji are not old too old for us to buy if they wernt here. Probably on the decline but not old for CB. My bad, I meant 1 Central defender. We should be getting a RB and a LB... Hence my Robinson and Vanderson choices.3 Is potentially overkill I agree.

Fair enough, It looks good.My bad, I meant 1 Central defender. We should be getting a RB and a LB... Hence my Robinson and Vanderson choices.
CB would be Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol and say Diomande. I expect Stones and Ake to leave. Older and injury prone.
I think we have different ratings on Rico. I think he is a phenomenal RB in the making. He is not a midfielder in my eyes. He is a highly technical RB. I'd like a Rico/ Vanderson RB partnership.
Also, I think Tijjani is just a fantastic CM. A box to box 8. Sure he is not a dedicated DM. But I think he'd add more to our squad than any dedicated DMG like say Baleba or Ederson etc.
Rodri will be the DM, and Kova/ Wright can deputize. Especially when they are in my midfield with Reijnders. A true box to box lightning rod.
I still see us in a 433
So for me it's Haaland/David at 9
Marmoush/Doku at 11
Savihno/Bobb at 7
But David can also play wide and Marmoush at 8 or 10
Foden/Mctee/Marmoush @ 10
Rejinders/Jack/ Nunez @ 8
Rodri/Kovacic/Wright at 6
That's how I see it on my head. I know there is a push for a Rodri and Erling backup. But my sense is we are better off with a super talented Central Midfield mate. Than a DM backup who won't be Rodri.
So your not now talking about getting rid and bringing in 3 new cb this windowI agree they arent that old, and start of next season are 30, 31 and 30.
I simply pointed it out as the defense is pushing in age.
Really the bigger knock against them is all 3 can barely be fit, Akanji a bit better than Ake, who is a bit better than Stones.
In my mind in terms of squad personnel, if it helps, I almost consider them like 1.5 - 2 players if that helps make my point.
With Walker out and I think Rico isnt a RB, thats a big problem in the next year imo.
Not necessarily this window, im talking summer as well.So your not now talking about getting rid and bringing in 3 new cb this window
