He was in the Evening News a few years ago after trying to disarm a teenager with a knife round there.
Can’t remember the ins and outs but think he was abusing the GMP Twitter account for not sending back up and they threatened to nick him for swearing at them.

Know him reasonably well ....he's old school and very respectful about us, full of banter and a proper character.He is well respected by old school blues and the feeling is mutual. He’s attended a few funerals of older blues who passed in recent years.
