Priced out?

This is one of the reasons why season ticket and match day ticket prices keep on going up every season.

City are still way behind United, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, and Chelsea when it comes to match day income/revenue.

That’s what the people running City are looking at, and measuring our match day income/revenue by.

Hopefully the expanded North stand, hotel, etc, will close that match day income/revenue gap further.

I doubt we’ll be seeing any season ticket and match day ticket price freezes in the future, let alone cheaper PL season tickets and match day tickets.

City will over take Chelsea’s match day income/revenue when the North stand, hotel, etc are completed. Chelsea are looking at a new and bigger stadium. Liverpool would be the next target, but they have fewer season ticket holders, more match day ticket sales, and are looking at expanding Anfield again. Arsenal are looking at expanding the Emirates. United are looking at a new tax payers stadium. Spurs are making loads of match day income/revenue from their new stadium.

It’s a shame because Bayern’s Matchday revenue is also lower than United, Arsenal and Tottenham’s, and they have a larger stadium than all three of them (75,024 capacity at the Allianz), but their pricing really looks after their fanbase.

Bayern’s 2023-24 Revenue
Matchday= €121m or £101m
Broadcasting= €204m or £170m
Commercial= €419m or £348m
Total= €744m or £618m

Bayern’s 2024-25 Seaon Ticket Prices
Cheapest= €350 or £290 (16,000 tickets at this price)
Dearest non-hospitality= €760 or £630
[My season ticket at City is £930 and it’s non-hospitality]

Bayern must earn shitloads from hospitality and corporate though.

Have a look at their match day prices.

The European Ultras get a lot of stick on BM. But at least they can call on the support of normal fans to back their campaign/s against high ticket prices.

[BILD] 36000 Bayern members cancelled their ticket request for the game against Shaktar in Gelsenkirchen after the prices were revealed and the Ultras sent out a statement to boycott the game. There were 55000 requests initially.

Bayern fans have cancelled 36,000 ticket requests for the Champions League game against Shakhtar (December 10) at Schalke's Veltins Arena. This comes after 'Südkurve München' called for a fan boycott of the game due to the special high ticket prices for Bayern fans
Seating places for Bayern fans start at 105€. In comparison, prices started at 28€ for Shakhtar's home game against Atalanta and 31€ against Young Boys. Standing places cost from 52€ for Bayern fans. Against Atalanta they cost from 23€, against Young Boys from 26€

105 euros would have broken uefa rules on away ticket prices which are set at a maximum of 60 euros for none premium seats.

I can’t see the prices for their individual match tickets on the FC Bayern website as you have to have login details to view them for individual games.
The majority are 100-120 for cat A champions league, and 80-100 for cat B, league games i think are 60-80, which is similar price to league games at City. They also advertise 19 euro standing tickets but these are pretty much all taken by ST holders.

It must be true, it’s from Bild, and across other websites.

The Seating places for Bayern fans start at 105€ may be incorrect?(Reddit) The boycott wasn’t.

Here you go.

Euro, not pound.

The South, Level One (their Ultra section) would be £15,78.(19 Euros)

We’re miles off Bayern in general, even though they probably charge more for the posh seats in both side stands.

A good range of prices.

At City, the PL game against Chelsea all I’m seeing prices like £72-95. No cheaper options of any kind.

Top tier at the ends there at Bayern for adult tickets at Bundesliga games are cheaper than matchday tickets at City PL games are for children - it’s £47-62 for children at that upcoming City v Chelsea game.

A local Mancunian Blue and his son could look out for good flight deals and probably go to a Bundesliga game for cheaper than it would cost him to take him and his son to a City PL game in their own city.

Yes, match day tickets are pretty much the same all over the ground for every group age, bar more expensive tickets in certain parts of the ground.

If Bayern dared to raise the tickets prices by much in the Ultra end and in other parts of the ground, the Ultra end would remain empty until the ticket prices were reduced.

Bayern will have a working relationship with their Ultra fans. They value them for their support. Most European clubs do. Sadly the opposite is true in England.

No i know the boycott happened, the 105 euros didn't seem right, i was wondering whether Shakhter were ignoring the price cap. Looks like it was actually 52 euros.

Pretty sure Bayern charge full price for over 13s for all games. They grab the headlines with the cheap season tickets and standing matchday tickets that are near impossible to actually buy whilst having Premier league style pricing for the rest. They are generally much dearer than other Bundesliga clubs

I copied that £105 euros from a post on Reddit. The Bein link corrects that mistake. I couldn’t find the Bild article.

I’m sure if our standing tickets were that cheap to buy, they’d be impossible to buy as well.

Pie in the sky as we know what’s coming, but imagine 8000 NSL2 safe standing tickets priced like that. :-)
