Watched the first three episodes last night.
Richard Armitage playing Richard Armitage as usual but watchable so far.
Couple of agreeable looking ladies too ( if I’m allowed to say that.

Watched last one, last night....probably best I've seen for a while.

Pete Wicks . For dogs sake

Brilliant show about the dogs trust rescue centres , he adores dogs , very natural and gets stuck in , he should have got the Paul O'grady gig , allison hammond doesnt have a dog , never had one and she has no connection with the dogs and little with the staff, purely a presenting job for her where as pete is fully invested and his voice overs are really good

i think paul wouldnt be happy for her to be doing his baby

Mostly enjoyed Black Doves. TBH, I forgot I’d watched it until you mentioned it, which probably says something. The gratuitous homosexual encounters were a bit cringey. Is that what it takes to get Ben to play in a show anymore?

Bing-watched American Primeval on Netflix last night/this morning. I thought it was very good. I nearly gave up on it at the start though because I found the cinematography really annoying (close ups, weird camera angles, gritty unrealistic colour, etc) but I stuck with it in spite of that. I think it could have been a lot better if filmed a bit more realistically. Half the joy of a western is the amazing scenery.

4 episodes in today, thoroughly enjoying, recommended

Just started this book:

My reason for drawing attention to it on this thread is because it's out-of-print and quite rare. Copies are usually advertised at £50+ online. I should know as I've been after it for a long time.

But there's currently one going for £18.99 (including postage) on the website for World of Books aka 'WOB'. Exactly the same copy is being advertised by them on eBay for £70. It's in Very Good Condition.

Finally got mine off Amazon France for £18 last week - it was also mispriced. Very impressed so far.

So if there are any fans of the series reading this, it's definitely worth a punt. The author is a former MOJO editor who is probably better known for a bestselling book he wrote about The Clash.

The cinematography and production is top notch. No idea how this is going to play out but the body count is gonna be high!

Recommended for anybody who loves gritty Westerns.

I didn't like the video game feel to the camera angles and the lack of proper colour but I thought the story and characters were great.

I couldn't watch it. That Cockney ponce wasn't believable for me as the leader of a big criminal gang

Started watching Land Man today and 2 episodes in has me hooked. Anything with Billy Bob Thornton is usually worth a watch but this is also very well written and has made me laugh a bit too.

I was the same way after the first two but I almost gave up after hanging in until ep 7.
If it wasn't for Billy Bob it would be complete fluff.

Watched the first two eps of 'The Pitt' (on Max).

Good to see Noah Wyle back on TV, but it's weird watching him return to a genre he, basically, started out on; hospital drama, namely 'ER'.

Honestly, not sure why this show has been added to an oversaturated area of TV, but it tries to go hour to hour like '24'.
