He reminded me so much of Yaya the way he picked up the ball and surged past players with ease
Said to my son today that he reminds me in some ways of Paul Lake
Agree I think Kovacic has hurt our defence all year. That defense looked more fragile when Kovacic came on, than it was before. Nico was definitely not a problem tonight.
Interesting as we are winning more often with him in the team than when he is outAgree I think Kovacic has hurt our defence all year.
I think this is what Pep wants to happen, but Pep implied after the game that Nico has some doubts about being able to play the critical number 6 position.Give the lad a chance to cover Rodris role, gundo hasn't the legs for every game and kovocic is quite imobile too.
A thoroughbred. Like watching how Lakey would have played (at left back!) in a Pep team.
at least he played left back and not inverted CB leaving winger time to control and cross ballTop banana. Out of position (he’s actually an attacking midfielder despite playing in defensive mid in pre-season) at left back and looked quite natural.
His running style with the ball is very good.
Pep’s new left back for a year? Haha
I really like Nico. His versatility is gonna help us a lot. Top player. Think he need to keep ahold of him. Typical Pep good footballer- played as a striker, 10, 6, 8, full-back. Just a solid all rounder. I would be playing him in midfield to give us those legs and help out Gundo/Kova.
How long has he been at City? I can't find anything from a quick search.I read the other day United, Liverpool and Everton all wanted him as a kid. Think he is a serious talent.
I totally agree, really looking forward to seeing more of Nico.I really like Nico. His versatility is gonna help us a lot. Top player. Think he need to keep ahold of him. Joined the academy when he was 8 (so 2013-ish if my math is right) according to the OS: https://www.mancity.com/players/nico-oreillyHow long has he been at City? I can't find anything from a quick search.
I’d like to see him given a chance ahead of Rico.Physically has all the attributes you want tall, strong, quick. Technically looks excellent. All he needs is to keep his head on football (and family of course) and study, learn, experiment continuously.
