Absolutely - Hinchcliffe's in particular. I was 11 at the time and remember getting back to Eccles after the match. My old man sent me to the paper shop for a pink. When I got there, a neighbour (same age) was in the shop. The bloke behind the counter knew I'd been and probably knew the score but was playing along knowing the other lad was a red. I proudly declared "City won 5-1!"

The other lad, never went to Old Trafford in his life replied "Yeah, but United scored a hat-trick." I knew in that moment that he was a fuckwit and that I had made the correct choice.

Their main issue is self entitlement. They keep buying arrogant players with bad characters. Exceptionalism is an issue with the club culture though.
