PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Which is why City will leak it first, same as we did with the APT challenge.

We didn't leak anything.

We announced it on the club website with a official statement. More or less out of the blue, a week after the verdict was shares with both parties, and less than an hour before the PL also put their statement on their website. Let's not rewrite things.

Ziegler got hold of the story that we'd had "some success" in the APT case weeks before City's official statement. I'd be interested to know which side leaked that to him.

It wasn't weeks before, it was a week at most. But yeah he did say that, but he also suggested the major ATP principles were upheld. Which to me suggests someone on the PL side, given the tone.

It was still a fairly isolated and hard to substantiate rumours, it like wveryone knew the outcome and juat waited for the official documents to drop.

Sky apologised but basically said the comments aren’t down to them. Two questions arise for me (1) who is paying those “pundits”? (2) if Sky aren’t responsible then why aren’t the “pundits” apologising?
SKY are responsible for everything they broadcast. They would be sued in the event of any legal action because they have deeper pockets than Sherwood.

It was weeks before. Ziegler first tweeted about it in mid-August: https://cityxtra.co.uk/16517/verdic...ue-very-soon-belief-of-some-success-achieved/ which was about 6 or 7 weeks before City's statement. You may remember he got slated on here in some quarters because he mentioned that it would be announced in the "next 2 weeks" and it took far longer than that, but the gist of what he said regarding the outcome was largely correct. I'm not convinced the leak came from the PL's side either because I think they would be loathe to leak something that would in any way positive for us.

What action have Sky taken to ensure these views aren’t shared. They acted when Letissier went rogue but did fuck all with others.

Fair enough. He repeated the week before and that's the one I must have stuck on.

I still think, the way it is worded, that it sounds more PL driven. Particularly as he had their side of it when it was all quiet for months. But how much of that is his own slant on it given his previous tone, who can say.

Yeah, it's difficult to know where it came from but I think it's safe to say that it wasn't a lucky guess on his part!

I've only heard Sherwood say positive things about City before, surprised it came from him.
Sky should have said:

“We apologise for putting words into Rim Tim’s mouth attacking city on behalf of the legacy clubs”. “Rim Tims views were not his own and we will be more careful in the future while attacking MCFC…NOT”.

Hateful greedy influential bastards.

There's a bottleneck between Deansgate through Oxford Rd and Platforms 13/14 at Piccadilly. The freight trains also use that route so I'd say the idea is that taking those movements elsewhere would enable smoother running along that route. I think it's more about reducing delays to existing services than extra trains.
Have you seen those temporary traffic lights? Top end of Piper Street, past McVities, up to the bank on Birdhall Lane. There's talk it's all going to be one way now. Put 15 minutes on my journey.

Why do people think Sky told him to say it if they have to come out and apologise. Tim needs to be held accountable for words he said. Whilst he is always fair on City, that doesn't mean he hasn't been brainwashed with all of the nonsense in the media about us and the charges. Sky are cunts in their own right, as is Tim now.
