We announced it on the club website with a ln official statement, more or less out of the blue, a week after the verdict was shares with both parties, and less than an hour before the PL also put their statement on their website. Let's not rewrite things.

You may remember he got slated on here in some quarters because he mentioned that it would be announced in the "next 2 weeks" and it took far longer than that, but the gist of what he said regarding the outcome was largely correct. I'm not convinced the leak came from the PL's side either because I think they would be loathe to leak something that would in any way positive for us.It wasn't weeks before, it was a week at most. But yeah he did say that, but he also suggested the major ATP principles were upheld. Which to me suggests someone on the PL side, given the tone.

Yeah, it's difficult to know where it came from but I think it's safe to say that it wasn't a lucky guess on his part!Fair enough. He repeated the week before and that's the one I must have stuck on.
I still think, the way it is worded, that it sounds more PL driven. But how much of that is his own slant on it given his previous tone, who can say.

Put 15 minutes on my journey.There's a bottleneck between Deansgate through Oxford Rd and Platforms 13/14 at Piccadilly. The freight trains also use that route so I'd say the idea is that taking those movements elsewhere would enable smoother running along that route. I think it's more about reducing delays to existing services than extra trains.
