Even more tragically, if you're talking about who I think you are, he actually owns and runs a professional football clubI saw a funny Talksport clip yesterday with @slbsn and some other guy and it was pretty embarrassing. I can't find it and haven't seen it on here but Stefan was stating that if a massive risk is hanging over a club like City they won't increase the wage bill, tie Haaland down and bring new players in like they have. Straightforward stuff if you've even been in a boardroom. You manage any risk.
The balloon he was debating with was foghorning cliches like some geezer from Essex on a football forum. "City will just spend what they want" and all this nonsense and you could see the contempt in Stefan's eyes. This clown's football fan brain was unable to compute basic business.
I feel he was just trotting out the usual bile. No city are innocent option, and he thinks our current spend is due to confidence we can drag the 115 (guilty) verdict through the appeals and legal process for years. You know having just listened to it again Darragh didn’t sound as bitter but he pissed me off about City trying to exhaust the process when it’s been explained numerous times why it takes so long.
I’d like to pull him on why he thinks this makes it an advantage for City when the waiting game strategy can swing back & forth. On a personal note I had a case that I felt was deliberately being dragged out or as my Solicitor explained, perfectly reasonable & normal process being followed. It was exhausting & expensive but then time is up, you have a hearing date & all evidence is in. Suddenly the swing is in the favour of those who believe they are right. I was right & they wanted to settle & suddenly after nearly 2 years I had the advantage. 90% settle by this point I’m told but City & EPL have seen it through to the conclusion, surely Darragh understands this.

whilst at the same time having our reputation and successes tarnished , us as well as the club want this farcial bs over asapI feel he was just trotting out the usual bile. Plenty do - covid allowances and the Stanley park imaginary stadium spring immediately to mind. That said, I don't think any other club has been subjected to the level of scrutiny or lengthy investigations that we have.Very worrying that an owner would basically say he’d wing it if his club were in our position.

I wonder if Darragh was told to be contrary to whatever Stefan said in order to please the listeners. Some of the stuff he was saying did not make sense if you have ever experienced legal battles. I am sure Darragh knows full well that legal battles are a tug of war and that City and the PL have expended too much energy/resources/cash to go for a settlement at this stage. The time for the settlement was either before the charges were issued in 2023 or shortly thereafter. I think the producer had a word in Darragh's ear and that's why he was spouting nonsense. Or, Darragh was just behaving like a Liverpool fan and his emotions were getting the better of him.You know having just listened to it again Darragh didn’t sound as bitter but he pissed me off about City trying to exhaust the process when it’s been explained numerous times why it takes so long.

Is it Darragh Mac Anthony everyone is referencing here?
Haven't seen the clip but he's historically quite pro-city when he's been on TalkShite
They have nothing to lose the longer it drags on the more shit we getis there some aranged date in march where thay get round a table to discuss and make public the result of all this, feels like were in no mans land and its being dragged out by the PL which in turn has a knock on negative affect on the club
The count down to '115 Day' is very much on and more advanced than predicted.I feel he was just trotting out the usual bile. No city are innocent option, and he thinks our current spend is due to confidence we can drag the 115 (guilty) verdict through the appeals and legal process for years.
Some of the more poisonous commentators must be quite worried about the looming date - the day they officially become full of shit and see their arses. They have nothing to lose the longer it drags on the more shit we get
it would be nice to come out of this 100% cleared no fines nothing but it will hurt these people more if we are fined a few million for non cooperation,''they do what they like'' scenario will keep city in there heads and haunt themSome of the more poisonous commentators must be quite worried about the looming date - the day they officially become full of shit and see their arses.
Having said that, I expect some shitty non cooperation thing may stick so the cunts can say we were found guilty.
That's quite a nice way of putting it!Simon Jordan puts companies into administration. Stefan brings them out of it.
