Just in case anyone has forgotten Zahawi became Chancellor while he owed the Exchequer £3 million in unpaid taxes. Was the BBC all over this? Were they fuck.

I largely agree with that in the whole - very few of us will be politically oriented to left or right on all issues. Which is why it’s ok to criticise the party you voted for.

I’ve said before on here I’m economically right (low taxes and small state) and fundamentally believe in fairness and the safety nets of state like social security, healthcare and the role of state in things like education, wellbeing, security, etc - here I am of the camp of a strong economy provides all these things but acknowledge it’s not that simple and there is a chicken and egg situation. On top there are things like immigration where I don’t have strong views one way or another so it doesn’t influence my voting (unless the vote was a free for all or no immigration - I’d vote against either of these extremes) - overall I tend to avoid debates on it.

Sadly as we've said before. There's too many MPs who life experience is studying politics and joining their party's with no real life experience of struggle or hardship. Trained by Tufton street/Blair foundation in a certain ideology who make decisions knowing it will never effect their own lives.

There's plenty of self educated activists that could be in any party that would represent their real constituents. Not the big businesses or grand fromages in their area.

Doesn't matter which flag you fly if you're a bloody good MP for the majority of your constituency you'll have a job for life. The best I've witnessed is Kenneth Clarke. Proper Tory with his own fingers in pies; but he never ducked out of his surgery days or any local campaigns for the betterment of the people he was elected by.

Unlike many on here I can recognise the dishonesty and corruption on both/all sides.

Looking at your post history it seems like it was you that was asleep for the first 14 years since joining the forum while the last government really were destroying the country and only woke up in time for the election last year, just in time to blame this government for the previous government’s failings.

And it’s “you’re” not “your”.

Just because I didn't/haven't posted in the forum doesn't mean I haven't been reading posts in it, to be honest, I usually can't be bothered to either engage or don't have the time. However I'm quite aware of the previous governments shortcomings and their greed, corruption and general vileness, but they didn't try to freeze my parents, they didn't try to destroy farming, they didn't try and gaslight us about immigration, they weren't completely under the complete control of the WEF.
And who gives a toss whether its your or you're except someone who thinks their better than everyone else, which most lefties do.
Yep, I failed English at school, but it didn't stop me getting 2 degrees and becoming an Aircraft designer.

you would say this against any liberal/center government no matter what they do.

Inherited 14 years of Tories , come in when the health service was on strike and leaving in their droves, train strikes every couple of weeks, prisons full, tory corruption and back handers rife, immigration out of control, 22 billion black hole and a economic mess.

Labour have come into this mess, 6 months later, no more NHS strikes, no more train strikes, sorted out prisons, deporting illegal migrants and working on securing our borders - Not to mention all positive changes for workers rights, renters rights bill, raising the minimum wage, retaining the triple lock, restored NHS to its highest spending since 2010, strengthened environmental policies and improving international relations especially in Europe.

Unexpected growth in the week, inflation down, interest rates down and a strong pound.

It's not all rosy, they've had to make a few unpopular choices and loads more to be done, not helped with the unrest the fat orange **** is doing over the pond.

But so far, Labour are doing very well. Keep your reform propaganda going though you moron.
