If anyone knows or can find the height of the new Kippax before it went, some figures of the North Stand for comparison below.
The top of the actual roof (excluding structural supports) : 39 metres from outside ground. Internally, this is 46m above the pitch level - so add 7m to any figure below for height from the pitch.
64m to the top of the roof structure (from outside ground). This is actually interestingly just taller than the current tallest pier, of the east/west spirals, although it doesn't look it in perspective.
Technically the most inhabited point is the skywalk platform, at 54m above outside ground.
The highest seat in the stand is 32.5m above ground level (39.5m) above the pitch.
All these are higher than the south stand, but apart from the top of the structure (a good 7m of a difference), not by that much.
Re the New Kippax, if anyone has some figures or a drawing, we can compare. It is broadly level with the pitch, so the height from the ground is noticeable. It held 14,000 which is just under 2k less than the north stand, and it was the tallest stand in the UK at the time.
