This story has appeared in the business press and the Guardian but has been virtually ignored by the UK media. I wonder why. Ratcliffe is in a dire situation and so are United. They have huge debts and apparently can't pay them. The longer this goes on the better. A buyer will come in at some point. Is INEOS in debt?
At Ineos Group alone the debt pile is expected to climb to almost €12bn (£10bn) this year, according to Fitch, or more than five times its earnings. The agency said there was “uncertainty” over the plan to repay related-party loans of £800m to other parts of the Ineos business empire.5 days ago.
Scruffy Jim's empire is crumbling, this rag decline may well be just beginning, the gift that keeps giving.
