The Labour Government

Interesting article on how Spain is dealing with the migration conundrum. There are obviously comebacks like certain areas highlighting over tourism, I’m not disputing it just pointing out there are alternatives to the right wing extremist solution.

A good example of what can be achieved when a government has the courage to positively sell migration to the electorate rather than the mealy mouthed bollocks from starmer trying to court the 'center right".
It's worth cautioning against economic migrants in low paid hospitality/tourism etc jobs being cheap labour though - basically modern slavery.

Inflation up from 2.5% to 3% and way above the target of 2%.
Taking the overall economic picture into account, the government are going to have to either pull a rabbit out of a hat or tell us to buckle up for bad times a head if we are going to finance a force in Ukraine without the US.

Working in hospitality in Spain is not considered “cheap labour”. A waiter/waitress will know their stuff re wines etc. ..:

Problem is the raise in NI hasn't started to impact businesses yet. The proof will be where we are in 6 months time.

I can't speak for all industries, but companies involved in major infrastructure project design and construction have scaled back their recruitment, frozen it completely or are examining "cost savings".

Nat ins rises haven't come in yet, I suspect most companies will just pass the costs on so it will likely affect inflation.
