Yeah Bergvall is a good player. They actually have a few. Archie Gray has really impressed me this year.Like the #15 from Spurs

Don't see Bernardo leaving a year shy of his contract expiring.
Ederson Ortega Carson Cambiaso Khusanov Dias Gvardiol Nunes Stones Akanji Ake Bah Reis O'Reilly Rodri Kimmich Wirtz Kovacic Foden McAtee Nico Lewis Savinho Haaland Doku Bobb Marmoush Echeverri
Him over Kovacic then, most likely.Don't see Bernardo leaving a year shy of his contract expiring.
Maybe, but with de Bruyne and Gundogan likely to leave, I wouldn't be surprised if Kovacic and Bernardo are both still here come August.Him over Kovacic then, most likely.
none of those players are eligible for the champions league b list

I do feel a bit for LewisWhy does Lewis always cop so much stick?
He’s a really good player and just 20 years old. His form this season has been poor but he’s doing nothing most of the more senior players aren’t also doing.
Ederson, Akanji, Dias, Bernardo, Foden, Grealish and de Bruyne have all failed to perform against top opposition (some have failed to perform against any opposition) this season yet none of them were mentioned.
That being said I agree with your overall point, players like Kovačić, Nunes and Gündoğan (in his current form) need upgrading.
Then we could only replace Carson with a homegrown 3rd keeper.Everyone seems to be anticipating a mass clear out of players this summer, but, just for argument’s sake, let’s say that the only players to actually leave are Walker, de Bruyne, and Carson (maybe even Gundogan). How would that then affect our transfer business in terms of numbers in and from where they come ? Not saying it’s what I want to happen, just curious.
But presumably we can then replace de Bruyne and Gundogan with players from anywhere. Then we could only replace Carson with a homegrown 3rd keeper.
No, if only those 2 went, then their places would be taken by Echeverri and Reis, presuming we register them. For the CL squad anyway. But presumably we can then replace de Bruyne and Gundogan with players from anywhere.
So, could we work around it by not registering Stones and Ake for the first stage of the Champions League and instead registering those two?No, if only those 2 went, then their places would be taken by Echeverri and Reis, presuming we register them. For the CL squad anyway.
They would leave 2 spaces in the homegrown list, but my opinion is it would be very unlikely that we leave players like that out of a champions league squad. In fact think its very unlikely we register different squads for CL nad Pl.So, could we work around it by not registering Stones and Ake for the first stage of the Champions League and instead registering those two?
I agree it’s unusual and not something we’ve done, but I just wondered if it’s a possibility. With Stones and Ake increasingly unreliable, in terms of their health, unless their representatives agree to find them new homes, we may have to be creative and find a novel solution. They would leave 2 spaces in the homegrown list, but my opinion is it would be very unlikely that we leave players like that out of a champions league squad. I don't think we do really.Taking Walker, Phillips Gundogan and KDB out as our starting point. Then if Ederson goes replace him, Nunes out a Full back in, and replace either Kovacic or Bernardo with a midfielder, replace Grealish with a home grown midfielder and think we'd be done.I agree it’s unusual and not something we’ve done, but I just wondered if it’s a possibility. I can see the logic but I just don’t see six players leaving in one summer, evolution rather than revolution. I imagine we’ll have a fair idea who’s leaving before the final home game.I don't think we do really.Taking Walker, Phillips Gundogan and KDB out as our starting point. So basically beside Walker no one on the defensive side will leave. I can see us already not going for Huijsen because Pep doesn’t wanna give up all his guys. Hopefully Viana says something else.It seems according to Pep that Gundo, Bernie and Stones will be with us next year. Kevin probably not. Walker has gone.
Pep wants a bigger squad. And wants a few of the old guard around to hand on the batton.
