We've just seen a comment from US President Donald Trump.

He says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement that peace is "still very, very far away” is the "worst statement" that he could have made.

"America will not put up with it for much longer!" Trump says in a recent post on his social media platform Truth Social, adding: "It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be peace as long as he has America’s backing".

He claims that Europe, in their meeting with Zelensky, "stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the US".

"Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?" Trump adds.

And that's precisely what Trump wanted Zelensky to do on Friday, lose it, hand over the spoils to him and accept terms of surrender dictated by Moscow.

As for Europe admitting they can't protect Ukraine without US support "What are they thinking?"

They were probably thinking that Russia already knows that.

I must confess to liking my little fix of comedy on Fox.
Fox&Friends is always a nice little wake up.....not too long mind or the comedy value starts to fade.
Whilst our breakfast TV may consist of a little bit of politics and then switching to who grew the biggest marrow at the Wiltshire County Show, theirs is just none stop propoganda.
This morning was superb viewing. The presenters up in arms that a Dem Seth Moulton called Trmp/Vance cowards.
So what did they do, they called on an ex marine to go all patriot on him. To criticse him for daring to diss the Supreme leader. then going to invoke and rile the mob up with suggesting he was disrespecting the to (sacred) Marines and those brave members of the armed forces. It got even more comical when he criticised Moulton for calling them "names". I almost spat my coffee out with that at the ignorance and failure to think back to Trumps standard operating procedure of calling people names and belittling them at every turn, "Lyin' Ted", "Little Marco", "Pocahontas"...etc etc
And yet that diet of misinformation is just lapped up by so many.
I do find it amusing also how Fox has even turned on old Tucker.

Don’t worry I have seen mountains of other posts on X in support of Ukraine and Zelenskyy, calling Trump and Vance names and cartoons I can’t repeat.
Take heart and fight back with posts of your own and delete anything that opposes your view. That’s my modus operandi on X

I do not understand the belittling of Zelenski, the world's leaders should be openly viewed as supportive (even if there was some more combative discussion required behind the scenes).

Trying to portray him as over-stepping in the Oval Office was really really poor.

So glad that the U.S. intervened to profiteer resolve one of the larger issues around the globe.

It’s TSMC — who can blame them? I can see how they worry the U.S. won’t protect them if China ever invades. Of course this was all well-telegraphed for literally years, including when Biden was POTUS.
 
I expect this twat is lying again it’s unbelievable, he just keeps spouting shite. I fully expect him yo be at the Mayday parade in Moscow.
