PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Go back a few posts there are ones that say the premier League lawyers were expressing confidence at the Plymouth game, or something along those lines.
What the funk are Premier League lawyers doing at our game anyway?

Have we give them free tickets for sticking up for that fat fucking ponce Masters?

As if they would broadcast anything in public.

Doesn’t it's sound a bit far fetched?

Hmmm premier league lawyers confident, according to a journalist, might be something in it,then again as has been posted numerous times on this thread,if some got a sniff of things going against City, they wouldn’t be able to hold their piss and we’d have had a raft if not a landslide of articles claiming City are guilty..

So many degrees of separation before we hear, I wouldn’t read too much into anything anyone says unless speaking to the legal team (in which case if they tell you anything, they are not a very professional legal team) or the people hiring the legal team and even in that case you would only expect them to say very little on a need to know basis.

Haaland would have needed to know, potentially new signings, Pep etc.

We don’t know what they asked but seems unlikely they where not happy with the answer.

Shame it’s not all dealt at once, as sounds like it could have potential for up to 4 hearings before we know for sure (given we can appeal on both) and I’m not off the view that we will be completely exonerated.

They weren’t at the game. It was mentioned at the end of a podcast, the podcast itself was primarily about the Plymouth game. There was no mention that any PL lawyers were at the game.

Chinese whispers

Sam Led thinks he heard something vague, from some unnamed person. Typical know nowt shit
The bloke makes a living out of claiming to know stuff, regardless of whether he does or not.

It’s all carefully choreographed - he’ll very rarely say anything definitive, anything that will ultimately prove him to be right or more frequently wrong. Instead it’s all a nod and a wink; vague stuff that he’ll just brush off at a later date and which keeps the charade going.

There’s absolutely zero chance that he’d say straight up that he hadn’t heard anything on an issue of this importance - he can’t afford to do that - so he simply has to say that he’s seen or heard something from the PL or City that suggests a certain outcome.

I spoke to someone at the PL and they mentioned that they felt the case had gone well, they felt the legal team did a good job and the judge had been receptive to the points they had raised.

It’s quite easy to be Sam Lee

Man does job shocker. No idea why people get mad at this stuff.

Wasn't Sam Lee the one that couldn't be bothered talking about CAS because he didn't really understand it and he was sick of the case?

If we win everything I guess its all over.

If we lose everything I guess there'll be an appeal

If its in between I wonder if both sides would settle over penalties rather than go through all the bollocks again.
They should but Pannick is a bit short at the moment.

Didn't Masters mention something tonight that any outcome might go to apeal??.
It's the independent panel that decide the punishment that will go to a separate case
His way of saving face either way we look the bad guys.both the club and the premier league have right to apeal. So hopefully not a stitch up.

Re your third suggestion, I’ve always assumed that’s highly unlikely based on what the club and our Chairman said at the time. He expects us to be totally cleared once and for all etc. So as things stand I’d be amazed if we were prepared to settle on a “partially guilty/guilty of some charges” type verdict. But we shall see.
If the guilt is expressed as a minor admin error, we will settle.

Exactly. Also you will know that Simon Jordan said there was confidence from the PL’s side. So he has been given a steer from someone at some point.

I mean both sets of lawyers were confident about the APT case but that went our way and ultimately UEFA were claiming to be confident at CAS and are still claiming they were right now so it doesn’t really matter.

One set of lawyers will be right to be confident, I just hope it’s our lot.
I'm just a fan like you, not some sort of expert and like everybody else I'm twitchy as the outcome draws near.
Spending 200m in Jan plus Erling,Pep stadium, Rodri , doesn't make sense to me cos we'll look incredibly stupid.
I'd back the Khaldoon nag against the cartels horse every time but like everyone I'm intrigued as to what evidence the PL have and our explanations, particularly the emails and what we have ,if anything on those bastards
