I don't think 'in contrast' really affected the ticket take up.Nobody's disputing that United have still got more supporters (albeit I would dispute their published attendance) but you're labouring a point by suggesting that they've suffered a poor decade of trophy success

Regarding the other posts saying there were loads of empty seats in the upper parts of the stands at Old Trafford, fair enough. I didn't see those on the match highlights.
