PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Some excellent points, dear Blue but may I say as one of the 8015 who witnessed that 1-2 defeat at home to Swindon in January 1965 (Blimey Charlie! 60 years ago!), I must say I never, ever felt the need or desire to be 'liberated' from my beloved Blues..! As old Oscar Wilde put it in 'The Picture of Dorian Gray':

'I am happy to be in my prison of passion'

Btw, and a propos of nothing really, I often think if I hadn't been there that p*ssing down winter's day with the Old Man, my cousin Keith and four of my uncles, the attendance would've been 8008. That number would have perfect rotational symmetry. However, it would've meant that I'd have missed out on one of the seminal, character-developing experiences of my life..!

And as for the PL/115/130.. well, f**k 'em..
Just out of curiosity, I was there that day, I wonder how many of those 8015 are still around. Anything like York away, probably about 20 000 of us.

Totally disagree.

Big Steve has been consistent, defiant, and exactly as you say, defended the club to the hilt. I applaud it btw, for absolute clarity. He has continuously stated, he trusts the club, the owners, the chairman, he believes we have done nothing wrong.

Do you REALLY think, the fucking BBC (maybe harsh on ITV to bracket them with that) or other media outlets, if they thought the verdict was in our favour, would be inviting him (or any such loyal blue) along for a chance to show his faith has been merited, or to show his relief, or that he can now look forward to putting this behind us slowly etc?

Not a fucking chance.

If he has been invited (I don't doubt what he says), imo it is to be used in a 'look at this poor die-hard City fan' way. To question if he feels 'betrayed', if he feels his trust was misplaced, what he thinks of the owners now, if the achievements feel tainted etc etc. Imo, sorry, it can only be a fucking set-up and nothing else. I just don't trust those cunts one bit for anything past that.

That's exactly how the neville carrager skybet shows he has been on have previously framed it too btw, and I think the bbc would jump at that angle if it was bad news for us. And ignore what Steve or City fans might think, if it were good news.

That's my own take, but I frimly believe that.

You can’t read anything into this either pro or anti City. The BBC and others will have a list of guests to discuss the verdict and have them prepped and ready to go. But who gets the nod onto the show will depend on the actual verdict. The final guest list will be decided based on a PL win or a City win. A convincing City will will see guests ready to talk about what this means for the PL, the future of Masters etc. City will not be the main story, so a PL slant to the guests resume will be required. A PL win and it will be what does this mean for the club and the fans and you are likely to get more City commentators and fans on the panel.

Aye the good old days! Then Old Joe arrived and they really were a pleasure. Long time ago now, but I agree, I loved going to Maine Road with my dad and my uncles. A real pity they were all gone before the takeover.

Why are people worried...? I really dont get it.
Worry about things 'you' can control, not what you can't!!!
Fuck them. Any true blue will stick by the club.
RELEGATE US. I DONT GIVE A FUCK.
It's all legal argumemts and until we get found guilty then people need to chill out.
Yeah some players will leave but imagine the trips to some proper grounds.
All the tourists will fuck off and the phoenix will rise again. Rangers, Juve etc.are all examples.
Dont tighten your arteries worrying. We ALL know this is a smear campaign against our owners, club etc. Laugh at cunts liks Jordan,Delooney, Harris,Stone, Lee.
They literally know as much as me and you.Fuck all basically.

Tbf, when I was creating a whole set of accounts from a box of cheque stubs and a few invoices, it was definitely an art form. People should have paid to watch that :)
One of my colleagues at the time was doing accounts for a farmer. Really was a brown paper bag job. He persisted though but couldn't make any sense of the farmer's livestock account. He knew how many cattle the farm had at the start of the year, and how many they had at the end. He had purchase and sales invoices for the livestock bought and sold but couldn't reconcile them.

So he rang the farmer to see what was going on. The farmer was obviously used to this annual call and laughingly explained why he had a bull, what the bull and cows did, and what the usual outcome was.

City have known the outcome from day 1 of the allegations.
Put it that way.
If that was correct no innocent people would ever be convicted of crimes and no people who actually did the crime would ever escape punishment after being charged.

It doesn't really matter if the club is honest in their opinion of no wrongdoing (or the other way around). What matters is what the 3 individuals in this panel believes and how they choose to interpret the so called "evidence".
If I was on trial for a murder I sure as hell wouldn't be certain of getting a "non guilty" verdict just because I know I'm innocent. One would have to have enormous belief in that the justice system is infallible to not even worry about it or be certain of any outcome.

Tickets might get cheaper though, silver lining and all that :)
Away tickets will be more expensive in the Championship. I think Leeds fans recently plaid £48 for an away game. There’s no away fan price cap in the Football League.
