It is a maneuvering room issue. Because of the converging angles, and the sequencing. That’s a proper miscalculation on a vital component, is it not?!
A lot of weight and tension to be applied there and they cut off a quarter of the bolting section
Makes sense, not that I know much about engineering, but thanks. It is a maneuvering room issue. Because of the converging angles, and the sequencing.
The plates will go back on and the connection will still be the same to the same size. They'll just do that leg After it has been lowered into place.
For all we know, that may always have been the plan, without the guys on site having it communicated to them, potentially.
Be a bitch to refit !!Makes sense, not that I know much about engineering, but thanks.

I think that is what they have done . Well done SherlockIt is a maneuvering room issue. Because of the converging angles, and the sequencing.

Sorry I couldn't get over for a closer view with the cranes being in operation. Hopefully it will fit now. CheersYou can see that they have cut a piece of the top of the cap bracket when you compare the 2 on ss skies video
brilliant pics , hopefully it will be fitted tommorow
Ahh, maybe not. The holes are offset to each other. It looks like at least the two connecting plates being held on by a couple of bolts each have been truncated by one bolt hole? Presuming they are the original plates.

Do you have any idea what the problem was the other day when they lifted the cap piece but brought it down again? Thx
